Fiery semi-truck crash on I-35 in Lenexa leads to highway closure Friday night
A tractor-trailer crash and fire caused a late-night closure of Interstate 35 in Lenexa Friday. The Kansas Highway Patrol says two vehicles were involved in a crash on northbound I-35 just north of US-69 Highway about 10:30 p.m. One vehicle rear-ended another, and the striking vehicle continued northbound, leaving the other vehicle stopped on the interstate. Seconds later, troopers say a tractor-trailer rear-ended the stalled vehicle. No one was inside of the stalled car.

YUBA COUNTY, Calif. (KTXL) — A man died Friday night after being struck twice on Forty Mile Road south of Rosser Road. The California Highway Patrol said an unidentified man was walking north in the right lane of the road around 8:17 p.m. CHP officials said there was heavy fog in the area and no street lights in the area of the crash. The man was first struck by a Toyota pick-up truck and suffered major injuries in the roadway.

NEAR OCONTO, Neb. (KSNB) - A Broken Bow man died in an unusual crash involving a pick-up that was parked on a highway. The Custer County Sheriff’s office reports that 65-year-old Daniel Jacobson was killed. Jacobson was driving north on Highway 21 about a mile south of Oconto in Custer County. His car struck a unoccupied pickup that was parked on the highway. The sheriff said the pickup had been involved in an earlier rollover accident.

A man has been left seriously injured after being hit by a van shortly after a crash involving the car he was driving on the M6. The man was driving a car southbound when it was involved in a collision with a second car near Junction 10a for Wolverhampton at around 6am on Friday. He was then hit by a van on the other side of the carriageway after getting out of his vehicle and suffered “multiple serious injuries”.

A multi-vehicle crash involving a truck carrying four gallons of muriatic acid caused both lanes of U.S. Highway 98 to be shut down for several hours Thursday night. The crash happened around 5:09 p.m. on U.S. Highway 98 near County Road 283 in Walton County, according to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol. A sedan and a pickup truck were stopped in the inside eastbound lane of U.S. Highway 98 when another vehicle driven by a 35-year-old man from Niceville failed to slow down and crashed into the truck.

Alabama State Troopers say the body of a Union Springs man who had been reported missing has been found at the site where he wrecked his car. State troopers say 58-year-old Clifton Milbry was killed when he wrecked his car at around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 27. But because the wreckage was about 25 yards into the woods, his body was not recovered until two days later, after his family had reported him missing.

LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — A semi-truck driver was seriously injured Thursday morning after troopers say he fell asleep at the wheel and hit another semi-truck that was parked in the emergency lane. A Florida Highway Patrol incident report said that around 7 a.m. near the 196 mile marker on I-10 eastbound, a semi-truck was in the right lane when the driver fell asleep and hit another semi-truck that was parked in the right-side emergency lane.

According to a report from NWFDailyNews, Noah Collins, the South Walton Fire District (SWFD) (Santa Rosa Beach, Florida) firefighter/EMT who was severely injured in a motor vehicle accident on Monday morning, is continuing to recover from traumatic head and leg injuries he suffered after attempting to aid others during a motor vehicle accident in which he was also involved. Collins’ vehicle was struck from behind while driving on his way to work near State Road 20.

A Fort Gibson woman was killed on the Muskogee Turnpike when she hit a truck parked on the shoulder, states an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report. Glenda Risenhoover, 62, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Broken Arrow Fire Department, the report states. According to OHP, the collision happened at approximately 5:45 p.m. in the southbound lanes, approximately 4 miles south of Broken Arrow in Wagoner County. Risenhoover was driving a 2010 Ford Edge, and a 2019 Freightliner truck driven by Ranjoyd Riar, 30, of Ontario, Canada was parked on the shoulder when Risenhoover struck the truck.

DAVIS, Calif. — An infant has died after a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 in Davis that closed eastbound lanes for several hours Thursday morning, a California Highway Patrol spokesperson said. Heavy fog is believed to be a factor in the crash at Richards Boulevard, officer Dave Harvey with CHP’s Solano division said. Around 4:40 a.m., a Toyota Avalon collided with a center divider then traveled back into the roadway where it came to a rest, Harvey said.
