One person killed in four-car crash on SC-183 in Pickens County, troopers say
PICKENS COUNTY, S.C. — One person is dead after a four vehicle accident in Pickens County Sunday night. Master Trooper Brandon Bolt said the crash happened on SC Highway 183 near Hatteras Ridge, around 6 p.m.Bolt said there were four vehicles involved in the crash: a 2017 Toyota Tundra, a 2000 Chevy S-10 pickup truck, a 2019 Nissan Sedan, and a 2006 Honda Accord. Bolt said the Nissan and Chevy were stopped in the northbound lane of Highway 183, and the Honda Accord was traveling southbound on 183.

CENTREVILLE — Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred Wednesday evening in Queen Anne’s County. Shortly after 7:10 p.m., troopers from the Maryland State Police Centerville Barrack responded to a call of a multi-vehicle crash that involved a pedestrian at westbound U.S. Route 50 east of Arrington Road. According to a preliminary investigation, a 2015 Chrysler 200 being driven by Jeremy Keith Weldon, 49, of East New Market, was traveling west in the left lane on Route 50 when he side-swiped a 2015 Ford Fiesta in the right lane.

A Norcross man is facing a charge of first-degree vehicular homicide after being accused of causing a crash that left a 12-year-old girl dead in DeKalb County, authorities said. Eric Cirildo Rodriguez, 42, is also being charged with hit-and-run resulting in serious injury or death and acquiring a license plate for the purpose of concealing identification of a motor vehicle, according to DeKalb jail records. Amiah Shontae’ Kenney Jackson, a seventh grader at Pinckneyville Middle School, was killed in the wreck.

PORT ALLEN - Troopers have identified two vehicles involved in a fatal hit and run crash that took the life of a 57-year-old woman in October. A good Samaritan, Theresa Matherne of Baton Rouge, was struck and killed after she pulled over to help another person involved in an overnight crash. After investigating video surveillance footage and physical evidence from the scene, authorities concluded two of the vehicles involved include a Chevrolet Malibu and a Honda Accord.

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) - The Pueblo Fire Department responded to a fatal crash on I-25 northbound just north of Pueblo early Monday morning. Colorado State Patrol says a gold van headed northbound on I-25 from Pueblo rear-ended a white passenger car, sending that car rolling into the left median until it stopped on its roof.The gold van continued spinning until it came to a stop on the right shoulder, where it was hit by a dark-colored Cadillac.

PLAINFIELD, Ind. — State Police are investigating a deadly overnight crash on Interstate 70 between Plainfield and Reagan Parkway west of Indianapolis. A State Police spokesman said one woman was killed and another woman injured in the crash that involved a semi and passenger vehicle in the eastbound lanes around 3:20 a.m. Sunday. Nobody in the semi was injured. Police have not identified those involved. Crash investigators had eastbound lanes closed at Plainfield for several hours.

MURRIETA — An 88-year-old woman was killed while standing outside a vehicle that was rear-ended on an Interstate 15 on-ramp in Murrieta. The crash was reported at 9:45 a.m. Saturday on the Murrieta Hot Springs Road on-ramp to the northbound 15. The California Highway Patrol said the woman was standing near the driver’s side of a 2014 Hyundai Sonata that was stopped on the on-ramp’s right shoulder before it was hit from behind by a BMW sedan.

The crash happened about 5:30 a.m. near Exit 7 on-ramp on the southbound side of the Spaulding Turnpike, state police said in a press release.The incident began when a driver lost control of their Subaru Impreza and hit the guardrail.

GRAY COURT, S.C. — The coroner has released the name of the driver killed when his disabled SUV stopped on Highway 14 was hit by another vehicle late Thursday, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The coroner identified the victim as Johnnie Calvin Evans, 43, of Greenville.Evans’ SUV had been involved in another crash earlier on Thursday and was disabled on Highway 14 near Highway 101 in Gray Court, troopers said.

Javion Thomas, a 19-year-old electrical engineering major from Dallas, died on Tuesday from injuries that he sustained in the tragic incident, according to a statement from his university.
