Two killed in separate Meadowbrook crashes
The first fatality, they said, occurred at around 7:14 p.m., when Danyel Saint-Louis, a 17-year-old starting point guard on the Freeport High School boys’ varsity basketball team, was standing outside his car and was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on the parkway.He had earlier lost control of his car, authorities report, and had struck the center median, before coming to a stop on the right shoulder. Several people then got out of their cars to help Saint-Louis, but a third car struck two of the pedestrians, one of their parked cars and the center median.

Two people were killed in a crash late Thursday night on the New Jersey Turnpike in Mercer County, authorities said. A Lincoln Town Car crashed and was left disabled on the Turnpike at 11:53 p.m. in East Windsor, said New Jersey State Police Sgt. Lawrence Peele. A Jeep driving north then hit the disabled Lincoln, killing two passengers in the back seat, Peele said. The two back seat passengers were pronounced dead at the scene, Peele said.

KINGWOOD, Texas (KTRK) – A 16-year-old boy was killed in a horrific series of crashes involving four vehicles on the Eastex Freeway near Kingwood Tuesday. Houston police say a Mercedes had mechanical issues and broke down in the southbound lanes of US-59 between Kingwood Drive and Townsen around 7:30 p.m. Both occupants of the Mercedes exited the vehicle, and moments later a Dodge pickup also traveling southbound saw the Mercedes and was able to stop behind it.

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) – One person died after a crash on US 95 northbound near Decatur Tuesday morning, according to Nevada Highway Patrol. NHP Trooper Travis Smaka said the crash happened around 4:10 a.m. Nov. 10. Smaka said two women in a black Jaguar sedan were traveling northbound on US 95 approaching Decatur and lost control for reasons unknown. The Jaguar hit a concrete wall and flipped. Smaka said with the help of a Good Samaritan, the women were able to get out of the car.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Syracuse men’s basketball coach Jim Boeheim is being sued over a fatal accident he was involved in nearly two years ago. According to Syracuse.com, the family of Jorge Jimenez alleged the coach’s actions were “negligent, reckless and wanton.” Jimenez was struck and killed by an SUV driven by Boeheim in February 2019. The four-page lawsuit was filed in Onondaga County Supreme Court in Syracuse and seeks an unspecified settlement.

A woman was stuck and killed, and several other motorists were injured on Route 104 in Ontario, Wayne County, on Sunday evening. Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said that a car driven by Timothy Mannix, 57 of Marion, for an unknown reason, had stopped in the eastbound passing lane just before 7 p.m. One driver, a 65-year-old Williamson man, stopped directly behind Mannix’s car and turned on his four-way flashers, deputies said.

MECOSTA COUNTY, Mich. — Deputies from the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 30th Avenue near Jackson Road Friday night in response to a 3-car crash involving a deer. At around 10 p.m., a 27-year-old man hit a deer while driving northbound on 30th Avenue and his car became disabled as a result. A 21-year-old woman saw the crash and began to slow down. A third car driven by a 62-year-old man was going southbound when he hit the disabled car which then hit the woman’s car that was approaching.
