A 68-year-old Lynnwood man died after being struck by a car on Interstate 5 in Thurston County on Friday night. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:21 p.m., a Washington State Patrol press memo said. A disabled vehicle was stopped and blocking traffic in the left lane of I-5 near Maytown Road, south of Olympia, WSP Trooper Ryan Burke said.The driver got out of the car, before a car driving in the left lane struck the disabled vehicle and the driver, a State Patrol news memo said.

29-year-old man dies after fiery crash involving semi in Bellevue

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 29-year-old Nashville man was killed in a fiery crash involving a semi tractor trailer in Bellevue early Friday morning. Metro police said the semi driver was traveling south on Old Hickory Boulevard at Tolbert Road around 12:15 a.m., when he slowed to a stop to make a U-turn and activated his hazard lights.Bradley Sage was driving southbound in a Nissan Rogue, when he struck the side of the tractor trailer at the rear axles, according to investigators.

A lorry driver who crashed into a car and killed a Plymouth mother on the A38 has told a jury he never saw the broken-down vehicle. But Jack McIntyre, aged 36, said he did nothing wrong before the accident which left Briony Elliott dead. His Scania articulated lorry struck a silver Audi A4 on the inside of the eastbound dual carriageway near the Leigham interchange – where there is no hard shoulder.

A Queens man faces a slew of charges — including criminally negligent homicide — after authorities say he drove away from a crash in late January on the Nassau Expressway that killed an East Atlantic Beach resident standing on the road’s shoulder helping another motorist. Kevin Drawhorne, 27, of Jamaica, Queens, was arraigned Wednesday on charges that also included leaving the scene of an incident without reporting it, speeding and driving without a license, Queens County District Attorney Melinda Katz said in a statement Thursday.

Driver seriously injured while standing outside disabled car on Parkway

A 20-year-old woman was seriously injured on the Garden State Parkway early Friday when a passing vehicle struck her disabled car and pushed it into her, authorities said. The woman’s car got stuck in the northbound express lanes near milepost 120 in Aberdeen at about 2 a.m., State Police said. She was hit while standing outside her car. The 35-year-old man driving the other car was not hurt, police said. Emergency workers brought the injured woman to an area hospital.

Two hurt on I-69 near Pendleton after semi slams into car stopped partially in roadway

PENDLETON, Ind. (WANE) A crash Thursday evening night sent an Indiana woman and Texas man to the hospital and forced the closure of a section of I-69 for around three and a half hours. According to Indiana State Police, around 10:10 PM emergency crews responded to the 217 mile marker of I-69 north bound for a two vehicle crash with possible injury. Troopers arrived at the scene and found a blue Chrysler Sebring with severe damage to the driver’s side on the right shoulder.

NJ State Police are looking into the cause of a crash that caused injuries on the Garden State Parkway in Monmouth County Friday morning. Officials said the crash occurred at 2:06 a.m. in the Garden State Parkway northbound express lanes in Aberdeen Township. Police say the preliminary investigation indicated that in the area of milepost 120, a Subaru Legacy became disabled in the express lanes and a Kia Stinger traveling northbound struck the disabled car, which then hit the driver who was standing outside of the vehicle.

17-year-old dies in I-95 crash in West Palm Beach; car hit after breaking down, FHP says

WEST PALM BEACH — A 17-year-old male from West Palm Beach died Tuesday night in a crash on Interstate 95 near 45th Street, the Florida Highway Patrol said. FHP did not identify the victim or the two other people involved in the wreck. It stopped releasing the names of crash victims last spring, saying it did so to comply with a 2018 amendment to the state constitution giving crime victims and their families the right to withhold their names from public reports.

Pedestrian killed, 3 motorists injured in I-75 wreck Tuesday night

OCALA — A three-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 killed one person and injured three others Tuesday night. Traffic along the highway came to a standstill in the southbound lanes, and law enforcement officials had to detour vehicles onto the State Road 326 exit just north of Ocala. The crash occurred just yards away from the exit. The injured people were transported to University of Florida Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville and Ocala Regional Medical Center.

10-vehicle crash on I-73 in Randolph County sends 1 passenger to hospital

ASHEBORO, N.C. — A crash involving 10 vehicles on Interstate 73 sent only one person to the hospital, according to Highway Patrol. At about 6:19 a.m. Monday, troopers responded to the crash on I-73, near Vision Drive, in Randolph County. Troopers say a 2012 Peterbilt tractor-trailer, driven by Ronald Wheeler, 60, of Albemarle, was heading north in the left lane. Trexler Trucking is listed as the owner of the truck.
