Woman suffers serious injuries after car hits her on US 90
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) — The Florida Highway Patrol says an 18-year-old woman suffered serious injuries after a car hit her on U.S. Highway 90 Wednesday morning. According to troopers, the crash happened just east of Aenon Church Road a little before 7 a.m. The woman was initially driving a pickup truck traveling east on U.S. 90, then she stopped the truck in the right lane for an unknown reason, FHP says.

TAMPA — A 36-year-old tow truck driver died Sunday after crashing into a disabled car on Interstate 75, authorities said. Jason Lee Everitt of Thonotosassa was driving a 2017 International tow truck south on I-75 near the U.S. 301 overpass about 11 p.m. when he struck a 2006 Chevy Cobalt parked on the outside shoulder, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. After hitting the Chevy, the tow truck struck the guardrail and overturned down an embankment.

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — A tow truck driver was thrown from his vehicle and killed after crashing into a disabled car Sunday night on Interstate 75 near Tampa, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Jason Lee Everitt was driving near the U.S. 301 overpass when he he hit a car on the highway’s outside shoulder and struck a guardrail. The truck overturned down an embankment and Everitt was thrown from the vehicle, troopers said in an accident report.

ELLISVILLE, Miss. (WDAM) - Volunteer fire departments, along with the Jones County Sheriff’s Office and the Mississippi Highway Patrol, were on the scene of a multi-vehicle accident late Saturday night that injured three individuals. Moselle, Union, and Southwest volunteer fire departments responded to the collision on Interstate 59 at the U.S. Highway 84 marker in the northbound lanes about 10:30 p.m. after the call came in as a five-car pile-up until first responders arrived to find only three vehicles involved.

BAKERSFIELD, CA, (March 22, 2020) - A 59-year-old man was tragically killed after his car was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer on Sunday, March 22nd in Bakersfield. The unidentified man was driving in the slow lane in a Volkswagen Jetta with its hazard lights on when the vehicle suddenly stopped running, causing the driver of the semi-truck, 43-year-old Jeffrey Culver, to hit it from behind. Sadly, the driver of the Jetta was pronounced dead at the scene.

Erica was driving northbound on I-91 near exit 22 in Cromwell, Connecticut when her vehicle stopped in the center lane in the early hours of Sunday morning, according to a police report, obtained and published by People. A Penske truck - driven by a 28-year-old man - then rear-ended Barrier’s Mini Cooper Countryman vehicle around 12:37 a.m. ET, according to the State of Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection Division of State Police, per People.

A woman who stopped to help a motorcyclist injured in a crash in Phoenix on Monday was hit by a car in the process, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. The incident involved a motorcycle, semi-truck and two cars on Interstate 10 near Buckeye Road, said department spokesperson Bart Graves. The man driving the motorcycle was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, said Graves. A woman — who Graves described as a Good Samaritan — was believed to have been hit by a Toyota passenger car after it was hit by a semi, said Graves.

CROSS LAKE, Maine — Multiple car crashes near the Cross Lake area, including a five-car pileup near Cross Lake, as well as poor weather conditions resulted in a temporary closure along Route 161, according to state police. At around 12:25 on Saturday, March 14, the first 911 call reporting an accident in the area was made to the Houlton Regional Communications Center. Within minutes, several more cars crashed in the area, creating a pileup of five cars after three separate accidents.

OREM, Utah — Two men were transported to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle while changing a tire on I-15 in Orem Friday night. According to Utah Highway Patrol, a vehicle traveling northbound on I-15 near University Parkway got a flat tire. Two separate civilians stopped to help that vehicle. One was helping with the tire, and the other was helping to direct traffic. An additional vehicle stuck the two men who where changing the tire.

SAN JOSE — A 23-year-old man who was killed after getting out of his car on Highway 101 early Saturday morning has been identified. San Jose resident Olman Aparicio Ayala, 23, was driving his 1997 Acura northbound near Interstate 880 when he got into a single-car crash around 5:40 a.m., according to California Highway Patrol. Aparicio Ayala got out of his car and stood on the roadway, CHP said — at which point he was struck by two different cars, including a 2014 Dodge and a 2019 Chevy.
