Good Samaritan struck and killed while helping others on I-30

LITTLE ROCK, Ark- An England man was killed Tuesday night while trying to assist with a disabled vehicle on Interstate 30 in Little Rock. Anthony Brian King, 37, was crushed between the disabled vehicle and his own when a third vehicle rammed into the back of the disabled vehicle. The disabled vehicle was partially in the roadway at the time of impact. The driver and passenger of the vehicle that initiated the accident were both injured and taken to a local hospital.

Semi collision claims one life on I-40 in Oklahoma, traffic stalled for hours

ROLAND, Okla. — Update: All lanes at the scene of the crash have reopened. I-40 westbound lanes in eastern Oklahoma were blocked Wednesday morning following a fatal semi collision. The crash happened at mile marker 328 on I-40 near the Venture Aerodrome Airpark Number 2 in Roland, Okla. Traffic was at a standstill for miles as emergency crews directed drivers to the Dora exit nearby. Some drivers had to wait over six hours before they could move again.

Woman killed in tractor-trailer crash, WB I-44 closed in Eureka

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — The westbound lanes of Interstate 44 in Eureka are closed after a fatal crash Tuesday morning. At around 11 a.m., there were two crashes along westbound I-44 near Route 109. The first crash involved a pick-up truck and a tractor-trailer truck. There were no injuries in that crash, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol. Two women who saw the crash got out of their car to the check on the people involved.

CLAYTON TOWNSHIP, MI - One person is dead and another injured after an early morning crash on Interstate 69, just west of Flint. Troopers from the Michigan State Police Flint post responded to the fatal crash involving a tractor-trailer on eastbound I-69 near M-13 in Clayton Township around 3:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, MSP Lt. Liz Rich said. A pickup truck had stopped on the side of the freeway after running out of gas.

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A bizarre shooting incident Sunday night along a busy interstate left two people dead after a crash where another driver was then hit by a truck. Just after 10 p.m., the DeKalb County Police Department was called to an accident on I-20 eastbound, just west of Panola Road. Officers found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound inside his vehicle.Following an initial investigation, police believe that after the victim was shot, his vehicle came to a stop in the middle lane.

Police: Stranded driver hit and killed by semi in Genesee County

GENESEE COUNTY, Mich. (WJRT) - One person is dead and another was badly hurt following an early morning crash on I-69 in western Genesee County on Monday. Clayton Township Police first got a call around 3 a.m. about a vehicle stopped in the eastbound lanes of I-69 near M-13. Shortly after, they got another call saying an accident happened in the same area. Investigators believe a pickup truck had stopped on the freeway and one of the occupants was outside when it was hit by a semi-truck, which jack-knifed and ran off the road.

Woman, 6-year-old girl killed in early-morning crash on I-78 east in Upper Saucon

A woman and 6-year-old girl were killed Monday morning when their van left the road and hit a tractor-trailer parked alongside Interstate 78 east in Upper Saucon Township, state police at Fogelsville said. The crash happened at 6:25 a.m. when a work van driven by a 32-year-old woman left the road and struck the rear of a tractor-trailer parked on the shoulder about three miles east of the Summit Lawn exit.

MAD RIVER TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) said they were investigating an injury crash in Mad River Township. Investigators said the crash happened at 6:00 a.m. Sunday on IR 70 near milepost 46. OSHP said that a person was hit by a car while standing near their vehicle. OSHP investigators said Jake Maggs, 21 of Kettering struck a deer while driving his 2017 Ford. The animal impact had disabled his vehicle.

2 killed in I-80 crash near Hercules that started with flat tire

Two people were killed on Friday evening after being struck by a car swerving into the center median of Interstate 80 near Hercules, where a flat tire led to a chain-reaction accident on the westbound highway’s fast lane. A 35-year-old San Leandro woman and a man died in the horrific crash, which involved several cars forced to come to abrupt stop behind a disabled Honda Accord. Neither of the deceased has been identified yet.

Deadly crash closes I-65 in southern Indiana

The crash occurred shortly after 4 a.m. between Henryville and Scottsburg, near the 26 mile marker on the northbound side of the highway, according ISP Sgt. Cary Huls. A Monroe Township Fire Department Facebook post described what authorities say led to the crash.A passenger car driven by Veronica McCall of Crothersville hit a deer and stopped on the shoulder.
