GLENDALE, CA (August 20, 2024) — Jake Huard was hit and killed by a car in a two-car accident on Highway 134 near Pacific Avenue. According to the Calfornia Highway Patrol, the deadly crash happened around 11:41 p.m. Friday. For an unknown reason, a silver-colored Mitsubishi became disabled in the middle lane of Highway 134. OXFORD, N.C. (WNCN) — An early morning crash shuts down a part of a major highway in Oxford, state troopers say. According to N.C. State Highway Patrol, troopers responded to a call that a tractor-trailer hit an immobile car that was stuck on I-85 near exit 204. The car was unable to move because it hit a guardrail and bounced off of the shoulder just before the tractor-trailer collided with it on the highway, troopers say.

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — A fatal accident on Interstate 95 at Mile Marker 299 late Saturday night claimed the life of a 26-year-old woman, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP). According to FHP, the incident occurred around 10:21 p.m. after the woman’s sedan was involved in an earlier crash and relocated to the right shoulder of the highway. As she exited her vehicle to speak with another driver involved in the initial collision, she was reportedly struck by two southbound vehicles.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — I-40 East has reopened after a serious multi-vehicle crash just west of Midway Road. Knoxville Police shared information about the closure just before 6:30 a.m. I-40 East reopened around 11 a.m. According to Knoxville Police, two people were pronounced dead at the scene and three others were injured. KPD said that based on their investigation, it is believed that two vehicles travelling east on I-40 were involved in a rear-end crash.

AUBURN — One driver was taken to an area hospital with multiple injuries following a two-vehicle crash just before 10 p.m. Sunday near the 322 mile marker on Interstate 69 northbound, the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office reported. Arthur Stevenson Jr., 69, of Louisville, Kentucky was found by police laying on the ground in the driving lane of the interstate. Deputies shut down the interstate while Stevenson was being treated by EMS personnel.

(KRON) — The California Highway Patrol is asking for the public’s help to locate a driver who fled after hitting a stranded motorist on the roadside. The incident occurred Sunday at 11:30 p.m. in Hayward on southbound I-880 near the I-238 southbound exit. According to CHP, the victim was standing on the right shoulder outside their disabled vehicle when an unknown vehicle struck them. The driver did not stop and left the scene.

The incident started when a 20-year-old Shawnee man in a Chrysler 300 rear-ended a Lexus IS, driven by a 37-year-old man with a 19-year-old passenger.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Three people from Lubbock are dead after a Friday morning crash in Martin County. DPS says the crash happened around 4:40 a.m. on State Highway 349 and mile marker 300. DPS tells us the driver of a Kenworth truck with trailer had a blowout on the road. The driver of truck pulled onto the shoulder of the highway to get the tire repaired. Due to the shoulder sloping down and the risk of the vehicle rolling, the driver could not move entirely off the roadway.

According to the state patrol, a semi was going at “highway speeds” and hit the other vehicles, which were stopped due to construction. The crash happened around 3 p.m. on Highway 2 near Nelson Road in Floodwood. Four people in a Honda Pilot were killed — 9-year-olds Hope Mae Oakgrove and Charlotte White, 66-year-old Bonnie Mae Dow and 65-year-old Vincent Louis Dow.

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – A chain-reaction crash involving six vehicles on State Road 15 sent two of the drivers to the hospital Tuesday afternoon. A 28-year-old was driving a car on SR 15 south of Warsaw when for an unknown reason he crossed the center line, hitting two trucks, according to a release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department. The driver of an oncoming semi tried to avoid the crash but hit one of the trucks.
