Sailors among 3 motorcyclists killed in crash on 5 Freeway near Oceanside, Navy spokesperson says
OCEANSIDE, Calif. (KABC) – Two of the three motorcyclists killed in a violent pileup crash early Thursday on the 5 Freeway near Camp Pendleton were sailors, a U.S. Navy spokesperson confirmed. The crash was reported shortly after 3 a.m. near the Las Pulgas Road onramp, about 10 miles north of Oceanside, according to a California Highway Patrol incident log. U.S. Navy spokesman Brian O’Rourke told KGTV that two of the three men who died were sailors and were stationed in the San Diego-area, but their identities were not released.

MIDDLESEX, Vt. — A box truck wound up on some train tracks near Interstate 89 in Middlesex near the border of Montpelier following an incident with another vehicle. The Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles said that the box truck crossed the fog line on I-89 south at 8:39 a.m. and struck a disabled vehicle in the breakdown lane. The crash pushed the disabled vehicle into a ditch and caused the box truck to leave the roadway and come to rest on the nearby railroad tracks about 30 yards away.

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WPMI) — According to ALEA, a two-vehicle crash involving a commercial vehicle occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 25. The crash occurred when the 1997 Ford F250 struck the 2007 International Truck that was disabled on the roadside. After the initial crash, a pedestrian that was standing on the roadside near the disabled vehicle was struck. The pedestrian sustained injuries from the crash. The crash occurred on Interstate 10 near the 35 mile marker, Baldwin County.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — Virginia State Police are investigating a deadly crash on Interstate 66 that left a child and woman dead, the police department said Tuesday. Three others suffered serious injuries in the crash, according to investigators. Troopers were called to the westbound lanes of I-66 near mile marker 46 in Prince William County around 2:30 p.m. on Friday. An investigation found that a family traveling in a 2019 Hyundai Tucson pulled over on the right shoulder, where their vehicle was disabled.

MONROE, Ohio (WXIX) - A man standing outside a stopped vehicle on Interstate 75 was hit by a semi and a truck on Tuesday, June 25. Damone Maston, 21, died at the scene of the crash, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol. Around 3 a.m. on the northbound lanes of I-75 in Liberty Township, troopers say a 2013 Mazda CX-5 stopped in the middle lanes of the roadway for an unknown reason.

ARLINGTON — A 21-year-old woman died Sunday morning after a pickup truck hit her on I-20 and left the scene, police say. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Areauna Laws of DeSoto. Arlington Police say officers were called to westbound I-20 near Matlock Road around 5:00 a.m. Sunday for a reported hit-and-run, where they found a Laws unresponsive in the road. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

According to Bolt, a Honda SUV and a Dodge SUV were stopped in traffic heading east when a Ford motorhome struck the Honda SUV causing it to strike the Dodge SUV.

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - A person who had survived a crash on the Florida Turnpike in Southwest Miami-Dade was killed in a second collision, authorities said. Florida Highway Patrol troopers responded to the scene of the deadly wreck along the southbound lanes, in the area of Bird Road, Saturday night. According to investigators, a crash had taken place involving a white SUV and a gray sedan. The collision caused both vehicles to become disabled and partially block the left lane, troopers said.

Two teenagers died in a fiery crash on Interstate 270 in Montgomery County on Friday after the car they were riding in was struck by a hit-and-run driver, and then by a second car, the state police said. Luis Isaac Bran, 17, of Gaithersburg, was killed along with Rebeca Gabriela Vasquez Moreno, 18, who was from El Salvador, the state police said. Both were passengers in a 2018 Toyota that was driven by Esperanza Del Carmen Vasquez De Bran, 50, also of Gaithersburg, the police said.
