1 person has minor injuries after crash between 2 semi-trucks on westbound I-96
IONIA COUNTY, Mich. — One person has minor injuries after a crash involving two semi-trucks on westbound I-96 on Saturday, according to the Ionia County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said around 12:35 a.m. they responded to a crash involving two semis on westbound I-96 near Hastings Road in Boston Township. ICSO said the preliminary investigation shows that a semi was parked on the shoulder of the roadway when another semi traveling westbound crashed into it from behind.

A driver involved in a car crash went to check on his 18-month-old in the back seat when he was killed in a second crash, Tennessee authorities said. Jacabo Hernandez, 29, flew through a window and died, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said in a July 5 news release. Shortly before 7:30 p.m. on July 4, Hernandez was driving a 28-year-old woman and their toddler through the heavy rain in a Honda CRV when he lost control of the car, police said.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The driver of a Nissan Kicks is sought by Nevada State Police after a fatal hit-and-run crash on a Las Vegas freeway interchange overnight. State police say the collision happened on the ramp from the westbound 215 beltway to northbound Interstate 15 at approximately 2:12 a.m. Friday. Prior to the crash, a blue Ford had pulled over on the right shoulder of the ramp and a person was outside the car attempting to fuel it up with gas, according to an updated statement from Nevada State Police.

SHOREWOOD, Ill. (WLS) – A pedestrian was killed in a crash on Interstate 80 in the south suburbs on Friday morning, Illinois State Police said. ISP said the multi-vehicle crash happened in the westbound lanes of I-80 west of Interstate 55 near Shorewood just after 7 a.m. A semi hit a car, which had already crashed in a lane, ISP said. The wreckage also appeared to involve multiple boats that were being towed.

Dramatic dashcam video showed the moment two semi-trucks collided on a highway in Jennings, Oklahoma, resulting in a fiery crash on June 28. Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), which released the video on July 7, said it was recorded from a semi-truck that had stopped on the south shoulder of the highway. The driver of the other semi traveling in the same direction had fallen asleep at the wheel and swerved into the stationary semi, OHP said.

A Connecticut man working on a truck parked partially on the shoulder of Route 132 in Woodbury was seriously injured when he was hit by an oncoming car, pinning him between the two vehicles on Wednesday afternoon. Around 12:23 p.m. on Wednesday, a Volvo VHD truck was parked in the southbound lane, partially on the shoulder, of Route 132 (Bethlehem Road) right before Noonewaug Road in Woodbury. According to the Connecticut State Police, a 25-year man from Prospect was working at the rear bed portion of the truck when a Jeep Wrangler traveling south on Route 132 struck the man as it hit the rear of the truck, pinning him between the two vehicles.

The crash in total involved five vehicles and eleven people. Officials stated that the chain of events began when a 37-year-old woman from Miami, driving a Toyota Camry, rear-ended a Suzuki Vitara driven by a 40-year-old man from Miami for unknown reasons, causing both vehicles to become disabled on the highway.
