1 Injured, Truck Crashes Into Semi-Truck Trailer in Fiery 91 Freeway Accident Bellflower, CA
BELLFLOWER, CA (May 13, 2024) — One person was injured after a truck crashed into a semi-truck trailer in a fiery accident on the 91 Freeway near the 605 Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened around 6:00 a.m. Friday. For an unknown reason, a big rig stalled in the eastbound lanes. Subsequently, a black pickup truck plowed into the semi-truck’s trailer, wedging itself underneath before catching on fire.

A young father was killed and another motorist was hospitalized with serious injuries following a two-vehicle crash in the region. The Rensselaer County wreck happened at around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11, on State Route 67 in Pittstown. New York State Police said a disabled vehicle was stopped in the eastbound lane after several people moved it from the shoulder, when a motorcycle heading eastbound crashed into it. Matthew Disorda, age 28, of Hoosick Falls, was ejected from the bike and died at the scene, police said.

NEW CASTLE, Delaware (WPVI) – Two people were struck by a car while attempting to help a separate crash victim in New Castle, Delaware on Sunday, according to police. It happened on Route 13 South near School Lane just after 3:30 p.m. Action News obtained surveillance video that appears to show two people helping another person following an initial collision. The two good Samaritans then tried to cross the roadway when they were struck by a silver sedan.

Around 11:35 p.m., the 18-year-old was driving a pickup truck on I-95 when it ran off the road onto the right shoulder. The driver then crossed all lanes before crashing into the center guardrail, according to the FHP report.

An elderly driver was killed Friday when his car collided into the back of a trash truck in Houston County. Upon arriving at the scene, deputies found Walter Wells, 76, of Pineview, Georgia, had died when the Toyota Camry he was driving on Highway 341 struck a Waste Management truck that was stopped conducting a trash pickup. Wells was pronounced dead on scene by Houston Emergency Medical Services personnel. The collision is under investigation.

EDISON – A Brooklyn man who was standing outside his disabled vehicle was seriously injured after he was struck by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 287 early Monday, according to New Jersey State Police. The 59-year-old man was taken to the hospital, but State Police provided no additional information about his condition. Around 12:31 a.m. Monday, New Jersey State Police were notified about a crash on northbound I-287 at milepost 1.2 in Edison.
