14 vehicles involved in multi-car pileup on Interstate 10
GONZALES, La. – Over a dozen vehicles were involved in multi-car pileup early this morning on Interstate 10 in East Baton Rouge Parish. It happened around 5 a.m. on Tuesday on the westbound overpass of I-10 at Siegen Lane. The accidents started when one car had been left abandoned near the top of the overpass, after it either spun out of control or broke down, according to a local towing company, Gonzales Towing & Repair, Inc.

Update: Southbound I-83 in the area reopened around 6:30 a.m. A person involved in a crash early Tuesday morning on Interstate 83 was hit by two vehicles and killed after getting out of their vehicle, according to a PennDOT spokeswoman. The incident happened around 12:45 a.m. on I-83 southbound at mile marker 36.5, which is near the Fishing Creek exit in York County. According to PennDOT, a person got out of a vehicle after a crash in the snow.

LUMBERTON, Texas — A multi-vehicle pile-up on Highway 69 in Lumberton Monday evening caused the road to close for a few hours. One of the people caught in the crash is sharing his experience. Matthew White from Groves drives this stretch of highway every day. It’s the route he takes coming home from work in Silsbee. What was suppose to be a normal trip for him, turned into a life or death situation because of the icy conditions.

Three semi-trucks were involved in a wreck on Interstate 80 that left cattle scattered over several miles of I-80, according to the York County Sheriff’s Department. At 6:38 p.m. on Monday, deputies were dispatched to a multi-vehicle collision in the eastbound lanes at mile marker 354, according to Sgt. Taylor Samek, according to a news release from the county. Deputies located three separate semi-trucks involved in the collision, along with cattle scattered over several miles of the interstate.

KNOX COUNTY, Mo. — Two northeast Missouri women were taken to the hospital after a rear-end collision in Knox County Tuesday afternoon. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol online crash report, the wreck happened around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday on Route V, about 8 miles north of Knox City. The crash report states that James Miller, 57, of Knox City, was stopped at a mailbox on Route V when Katrina Hustead, 37, of Edina, who was traveling north, rear-ended the vehicle that Miller was driving.

Dallas, TX — January 14, 2024, Jazmine Lewis was killed while King Martin, Kiara Frazier, and Devvyn Eddington were injured in a car accident on President George Bush Turnpike. According to authorities, 19-year-old Jazmine Lewis and 18-year-old King Martin had been traveling in a southbound Honda Accord which was disabled due to a previous crash when the accident took place. Lewis was reportedly outside of the disabled vehicle when the incident occurred.

SAN ANTONIO, TX (January 15, 2024) – Saturday night, Ramon Saucedo was fatally struck in an auto accident on Loop 410 Access Road. Authorities responded to the scene around 11:20 p.m., at the 6900 block of Northwest Loop 410 Access Road near Alamo Downs Parkway. Reports indicate that Saucedo was standing on the bed of a black 2007 Ford Explorer Sportrac with its hazard lights on. Saucedo was retrieving a car jack at the time, in attempt to help someone with a flat tire.

According to the California Highway Patrol, it happened around 9:30 p.m. Sunday on southbound Highway 99 near State Route 120. CHP says a 30-year-old woman from Sacramento was driving a Chevy Malibu south on 99 when she went into the center median and collided with the concrete divider wall.

BOX ELDER COUNTY, Utah — One person was killed in a crash involving three vehicles on I-15 in northern Utah Friday night. According to Utah Highway Patrol, a Honda Civic was stationary in the median on northbound I-15 at milepost 352, right near the Box Elder-Weber county line. The car had been disabled in a previous crash, but details on that crash were not available. The driver of a Mercedes SUV stopped to help.

NORTH PORT, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol troopers are searching for a driver who struck a man standing next to a disabled vehicle on I-75. The crash happened around 7:00 p.m. near Exit 193, Jacaranda Blvd., on New Year’s Eve. Zachary Edmonds said his girlfriend ran out of gasoline on her way to work. He brought her gas can and was filling up her car when he was struck by a vehicle.
