2 people die in Mississippi County fatal crash
MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, Ark. — The Arkansas Department of Public Safety said two lives were lost in a collision in Mississippi County on Wednesday. The incident involved a Toyota and an unoccupied semitrailer. Tanya Marie Mitchell, 55, from Paris, Arkansas, and Jeanetta Rose Kubes, 40, from Crocket, Arkansas, were occupants of the Toyota and did not survive the crash. Mitchell was the driver of the vehicle, and Kubes was the passenger.

WILLISTON, Vt. — Interstate 89 North is back open at Exit 11 after a tractor trailer jack-knifed on the roadway and caused a multi-car crash. The Vermont Agency of Transportation said I-89 Northbound at Exit 11 (French Hill Road) was shut down due to multiple crash scenes, slide offs and snowy conditions. I-89 Southbound at Exit 12 was briefly closed but reopened at 11:13 a.m., according to VTRANS. According to Vermont State Police, the driver of the tractor-trailer was traveling too fast for current conditions, which included heavy snowfall and snow-covered roads.

MANSFIELD, OH, (March 21, 2024) - A 44-year-old Aberdeen resident was tragically killed in a pedestrian accident early Thursday morning in the Village of Manchester. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Jesse Lainhart was struck at 12:55 a.m. on Cemetery Avenue near U.S. Route 52. A preliminary investigation revealed that Lainhart had parked her Pontiac G6 on the right side of Cemetery Avenue and, while unloading items from the car, was hit.

Authorities have released the name of a man struck and killed when he exited his disabled vehicle. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified fatality victim as Corey James Terrell. He was 34 and lived in Birmingham. The crash happened at 9:12 p.m. Tuesday on 18th Street North at the I-59/20 exit ramp. Terrell’s vehicle had broken down in the road. He was hit when he got out to attend to his vehicle, which had mechanical issues.

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A 71-year-old Ocala man was killed Wednesday night when his van, which was disabled in the center lane of Interstate 75 in Marion County due to a previous wreck, was struck from behind by a car, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The fatal crash happened around 10 p.m. on I-75 south, about 4 miles north of State Road 326. The FHP said a 46-year-old Oviedo man was driving his car in the center lane of I-75 and did not observe the van in time, striking the rear of the vehicle.

ROCKLIN, CA (March 19, 2024) — At least one person suffered an injury in a 3-car accident on the 80 Freeway near Rocklin Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-car crash happened around 5:30 a.m. Monday. For an unknown reason, a vehicle became disabled in the No. 1 lane. Subsequently, a second car crashed into the disabled vehicle, causing the disabled car to overturn on the center divider. At some point, a third car became involved.

RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) – Interstate 80 was shut down after a fatal pileup crash involving multiple tractor-trailer trucks on the Emlenton High-Level Bridge in Clarion County. The crash happened around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, in the westbound lanes of the interstate. Aerial video from the KDKA Drone Team shows as many as eight tractor-trailers and other vehicles were involved in the pileup crash. PennDOT said the interstate was closed between Exit 42 near the Emlenton Travel Plaza and Exit 53 near the Wolfs Camping Resort.

Subsequently, an off-duty Sonoma County Sheriff’s deputy, who had previously seen the man standing near his vehicle, returned to the scene but was unable to save his life.

Delaware State Police said a 1998 green Honda Accord was traveling behind a Bobtail tractor in the right northbound lane of I-495 on March 16, around 2:34 a.m. The green Honda rear-ended the Bobtail tractor and stopped partially on the shoulder and partially in the right lane of travel.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office identified the tour bus driver who was killed Friday morning after a crash with a school bus near Quincy, WA as 71-year-old Sidney Austin of Spokane. The Sheriff’s Office says a Quincy School District bus was picking up a student when it was rear-ended by a 19-year-old driving a Jeep Liberty. The driver pulled her Jeep off the road way and into a driveway, but the school bus was left in the road, blocking the westbound lane.
