Man’s body found 3 days after crashing into pond near Target store in Royal Palm Beach
ROYAL PALM BEACH, Fla. — A man’s body wasn’t found until three days after he crashed into a waterway near a Target store in Royal Palm Beach, deputies said in a crash report released Thursday. A Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office report said Jhon Fontecha, 51, of Palm Beach County was driving a 2014 BMW X5 northbound on State Road 7 on Saturday at 5:47 a.m. Investigators said his vehicle crossed the southbound lanes, hit a curb and traversed a drainage ditch.

HENRIETTA, N.Y. (AP) — A tandem tractor-trailer was left partly hanging over the edge of a New York State Thruway bridge Thursday after an accident. No serious injuries were reported. The eastbound FedEx tractor-trailer sideswiped a disabled vehicle on a stretch of Interstate 90 in the Rochester, New York, area just after 8:30 a.m. The tractor-trailer overturned and began to go over the guide rail of a bridge, according to New York State Police.

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. – The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash on U.S. 30 involving three vehicles Wednesday morning around 5:40 a.m. Authorities say Kosciusko County Emergency Personnel were dispatched to U.S. 30 west of the intersection of CR 450 E. for a crash involving a 2004 Chevrolet S-10 pickup, a 2005 Buick Rendezvous, and a 2008 GMC Acadia. “When Deputies arrived, it was determined that there was a vehicle partially stopped in the left lane and partially in the median because of a flat tire,” the KCSO said.

OTTAWA COUNTY, Ohio — Authorities with the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal crash involving three vehicles Tuesday morning. According to a press release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a Chevrolet Sonic, driven by 46-year-old Heather Musser of Oregon, was traveling eastbound on State Route 579 at approximately 6:40 a.m. Musser drove left of center near Genoa Clay Center Road in Allen Township and struck a westbound vehicle, OSHP said.

ANDERSON, Ind. — An Indianapolis man was pronounced dead after he was hit by a car after a Sunday morning crash on I-69. According to a news release from the Anderson Police Department, officers responded to a crash near the 22-mile marker of I-69 in reference to a serious vehicle crash around 5:30 a.m. Sunday. When officers arrived on the scene, they determined that three vehicles were involved. Officials stated that a GMC pickup, driven by 23-year-old Justin Tracy, reportedly rear-ended a Toyota Sedan and both cars stopped in the roadway.

BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) — One person has died following a rear-end crash on Interstate 81 Friday night, the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) reports. A report from the THP said the crash took place at around 9:06 p.m. on I-81 South near mile marker 64 in Blountville. The report said vehicles were stopped in the southbound right lane due to a previous crash, and a tractor-trailer was part of that traffic. A pickup truck was traveling in the right lane when it “failed to slow and stop for the traffic ahead,” the report states.

Jacksonville, Fla. — A 23-year-old man was killed Sunday morning in a crash on Chaffee Road. It happened around 5 a.m. north of the intersection of Falkland Road, near the public library. According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the victim was outside of his SUV because he had been involved in an accident. His SUV was blocking the lane. That’s when state troopers say a 61-year-old woman driving a sedan hit the SUV and the man who had been driving it.

Jamerson, 42, also of Topeka was merging onto I-70 EB from I-470 Westbound, when Jamerson’s vehicle rear-ended Coffelt’s.

The Merced County Sheriff Coroner’s Office identified the man killed in a collision involving two big rigs. Ricardo Alonso, a 26-year-old from Santa Maria, died early Tuesday morning in the Los Banos area off Interstate 5, according to Deputy Michael Domingue. Shortly after 3 a.m. Tuesday, Los Banos area California Highway Patrol officers responded the area of northbound Interstate 5, south of Henry Miller Avenue, after receiving reports of a crash involving two vehicles in the area.
