Tire failure sparks rollover crash involving semi-truck on I-4 in Plant City

PLANT CITY, Fla. — Westbound Interstate 4 is back open to traffic following a Monday afternoon crash involving a semi-truck. The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. on I-4 near Alexander Street. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a semi-truck driver was heading westbound on I-4 in the inside lane behind a sedan when the sedan experienced a tire failure. When the sedan driver lost control, her car traveled to the outside lane and then back into the inside lane before crashing into the side of the semi-truck.

Two pedestrians hit in evening crash

GREENE COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) - Two people were hospitalized after a Sunday evening crash. According to Greene County Sheriff Brad Snyder, a call came into Paragould Emergency Services around 8:16 p.m. regarding a crash on State Highway 69, just east of U.S. Highway 49. Synder said preliminary reports show that two people were standing outside of a vehicle on Highway 69 when they were hit by another vehicle. One person was flown to a hospital.

Clinton D. Pine injured in Buchanan County two-vehicle accident

ST JOSEPH, MO, (September 16, 2023) - Clinton D. Pine was injured on Saturday when his disabled pickup truck was struck by another vehicle on U.S. 59 near St. Joseph in Buchanan County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), Pine’s Dodge 1500 was broken down in the middle of the road when it was hit by a Chevy Equinox driven by a 57-year-old woman. Pine and an occupant were outside the Dodge at the time of the crash and hit by the pickup.

Missing Sanford man found after 2 days was trapped in vehicle

A Sanford man who was reported missing Thursday was found Saturday afternoon trapped inside his vehicle, which had gone off the road and into an embankment. Robert C. Brown, 65, was found in Dover, New Hampshire, near the Maine state line, by people who were walking in the woods and saw his pickup truck. He had last been seen Thursday after he dropped off his wife at work in Rochester, New Hampshire.

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — One person was killed and four others were hurt in a five-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in the southbound lanes of Florida’s Turnpike, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The wreck occurred at 10:37 a.m. just south of the Glades Road overpass west of Boca Raton. The Florida Highway Patrol said the incident began when a 2016 Ford transit van was stopped in the southbound center lane of the turnpike.

Pedestrian killed outside disabled vehicle in Orangeburg County

BOWMAN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - A pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle while tending to a disabled vehicle on the side of I-95, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol. On Tuesday around 2:30 p.m. on Interstate 95 at mile marker 89, about 10 miles north of Bowman, the pedestrian was standing on the southbound shoulder with the broken down car, when a driver drove off the right side of the road, hitting the victim, authorities say.

Seriously Injured Good Samaritan Pedestrian Helps Identify Hit-And-Run Driver

According to a public information release from Officer Aaron Wilson of the Cobb County Police Department, the department’s Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (S.T.E.P. Unit) is investigating a hit-and-run accident in south Cobb. The incident resulted in serious injury to a Good Samaritan pedestrian, Keith D. Paine, 53, Austell, who was aiding a driver of a disabled vehicle when he was struck. The driver Paine was aiding also suffered severe injuries.

4 dead, 2 injured in chain-reaction crash on I-35W in Fort Worth

Police in Fort Worth said they are still investigating what led to a deadly crash involving five cars on Interstate 35W Monday night. Investigators said at about 9:09 p.m., two cars involved in a minor crash pulled over to the left shoulder. Police believe the two drivers got out to exchange information. Officer Daniel Segura, a spokesperson with the Fort Worth Police Department, said the truck driver also pulled over on the shoulder to help.

Good Samaritan hit, killed while helping dog struck by car on University Boulevard: JSO

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A woman was hit and killed Monday night on University Boulevard while trying to help a dog that had been hit by a car and was lying in the street, police said. The crash was reported around 10:20 p.m. Monday on University Boulevard about half a mile south of Atlantic Boulevard in the Spring Glen area. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said it appears the woman stopped her car in the center turn lane of University Boulevard to help the dog.
