A crash stopped two drivers on an SC highway. A truck hit them and one later died.
One person has died after a crash on Interstate 26 in Richland County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Just after 7 a.m. Friday, a 2017 Nissan Murano and a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox were traveling east near Irmo when they stopped in the roadway because of a prior collision, Master Trooper William Bennett said. A 2016 Dodge Ram hit the Chevy in the rear, pushing it into the Nissan. The driver of the Nissan Murano and the driver of the Dodge Ram were transported by EMS to area hospitals.

The crash that killed a Los Angeles Fire Department recruit on the 101 Freeway this week is not being investigated as a hit-and-run as initially announced. On April 15, Jacob Fuerte, 22, was driving to the LAFD training academy when his car crashed into another vehicle on the northbound 101 Freeway near Vineland Avenue in Studio City. The crash happened shortly after 5 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

EL CAJON, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A man involved in a car crash in El Cajon was struck by a separate vehicle after he exited his vehicle Tuesday night, according to the El Cajon Police Department. Around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday, officers said two cars collided in the 400 block of West Washington Avenue. After investigating, they determined the driver of one of the involved vehicles left his car to take photos of the damage.

MOUNT CALM, Texas (KWTX/Gray News) - A mother and her young daughter were found dead in a car crash after their family had reported them missing hours earlier. Lauren Bonvillian, 33, and her daughter Savannah Bagley, 4, were reported missing Sunday night. Late Monday night, authorities confirmed the two were killed in a wreck in Hill County, Texas. On Tuesday, the Texas Dept. of Public Safety confirmed the mother and daughter were pronounced dead at the scene where the Toyota Corolla they were traveling in crashed on SH-31 near County Line Road.

HANCOCK COUNTY, Tennessee — The Tennessee Highway Patrol said one person is dead after a wreck on Panther Creek Road in Hancock County Sunday night. 58-year-old Ronnie Kinsler was standing outside of his broken-down truck in the southbound lane of Panther Creek Road. Another vehicle, a Ford Ranger, was parked in front of Kinsler’s truck, according to THP. Kinsler was standing behind his truck while the driver of the Ford Ranger was standing in front of Kinsler’s truck and behind the Ranger when a Toyota RAV-4 hit Kinsler and rear-ended his truck, THP said.

Police said four people got out of their cars to exchange information after a four-car crash in the left lane of a construction zone.

The pedestrian, 29-year-old Julian Joyner of Bel Air, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical services personnel.

A 2013 Hyundai Sonata traveling in the area slowed down for the crash, and that is when a 2016 Freightliner Semi struck the rear of the Hyundai, which was pushed into the Mitsubishi.
