Two big rigs collide south of St. Joseph on Interstate 29
In the early hours of February 8, 2024, a traffic crash occurred on Interstate 29, approximately four miles south of Saint Joseph, Missouri. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the collision involved two Freightliner trucks, and resulted in extensive vehicle damage and serious injuries. SMYRNA, Ga. — One person was arrested following a multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 285 in Cobb County. COTATI, Calif. (Feb. 8, 2024) — A pedestrian was struck and killed Thursday morning by a semi-truck driver in an accident on southbound Highway 101, just north of West Railroad Avenue in Cotati. Also, the collision occurred at around 5 a.m. on Feb. 8th near a trucking brake check area, according to the California Highway Patrol. At around 5:15 a.m., CHP officials were alerted to a man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans who was standing near a disabled vehicle with no lights on.

Shrewsbury, PA (February 6, 2024) – A 36-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday night in Shrewsbury. The collision occurred around 11:40 p.m. in the 3800 block of Steltz Road, according to state police spokesperson James Grothey. Troopers were notified of a disabled driver and a crash at about the same time on Steltz Road, near the intersection with West Seiling Road in Shrewsbury, Grothey said. When troopers arrived at the scene, they found two vehicles had been involved in a wreck.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says four people were injured – two very critically – in a Tuesday morning accident between Jasper and Kirbyville. DPS Sergeant Shana Clark says emergency crews responded at about 8:30 to the northbound lanes of Highway 96 near County Road 440. According to Sergeant Clark, a 1996 GMC bucket-truck was stopped on the shoulder of the highway, and 29-year-old Tyler Whitmire, of Brookeland, was driving northbound in a 2008 Chevrolet pickup truck.

CLEVELAND — Traffic crashes closed Route 2 westbound Downtown Sunday morning and sent a 36-year-old man who survived a miraculous jump over the freeway wall to the hospital. “He didn’t get out scot-free, but [it was a] pretty good result for what he went through,” said Cleveland Fire Lt. Mike Norman. Three crashes involving three vehicles happened around 10 a.m. Sunday near the West 3rd and West 6th street entrances. Cleveland Fire Department officials believe icy road conditions may have been caused by the shadows from nearby buildings.

NORTH SALT LAKE, Utah (KUTV) — A crash early Friday morning in Davis County created a hazardous situation for hundreds of vehicles before the Utah Highway Patrol arrived and closed all but one lane on southbound I-15. The crash happened around 4:30 a.m. on Feb. 2 on a section of the interstate that branches off to I-215 and intersects with Highway 89 near the northern Salt Lake County border. The rainy conditions left the road surface slick and covered with standing water while simultaneously erasing the reflective lane striping.

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Three people suffering from non-life threatening injuries following a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 on Thursday. According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, the crash took place at mile marker 61, just south of West Hundred Road. As of 1 a.m., the interstate had re-opened. A spokesperson with Virginia State Police said when they arrived on scene, they found a three-vehicle crash. Then, two additional vehicles struck debris from the crash, causing them to be disabled just north of the exit.

One after another, cars smashed into each other. Muddy conditions in Yolo County may have snarled traffic over eastbound Interstate 80, causing a nine-vehicle crash Thursday just east of the Yolo Causeway, according to the California Highway Patrol. It started about 7:40 a.m. when three vehicles collided with one another, blocking two lanes just as Interstate 80 splits with the Highway 50 portion of the Capital City Freeway. The crash grew, involving four or five vehicles, the CHP Woodland office said in its incident log.
