Jaw-dropping photos show aftermath of horrifying truck crash that left driver uninjured
A driver is lucky to be alive after their huge truck smashed into the back of a stationary tractor-trailer. Jaw-dropping images show the driver’s cab totally obliterated following the crash, which happened on the busy Interstate 77 near Charlotte, North Carolina on Monday. Huntersville Fire Department were among the emergency services to respond to the collision, which remarkably resulted in no one being injured. The fire department shared pictures on social media which show the devastation of the crash.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - A crash took place in Madison County on Tuesday involving four semi-trucks. Two people were injured in that collision. Officials say one of the drivers fell asleep and hit one parked semi, creating a domino effect hitting the other two. Kentucky law says that no vehicle is allowed to be parked or stopped on the shoulders or ramps of any highway. This situation has raised a new concern: If semi-truck drivers are not allowed to park on shoulders or exits, where else can they park?

MERCED COUNTY, CA (October 18, 2023) – Sunday morning, one man was fatally struck in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Highway 99. Police responded to the scene around 6:23 a.m., just south of Plainsburg Road. According to reports, the driver of a Honda Civic exited his vehicle on the northbound lanes after being side-swiped by a big-rig. The male driver then ran across the lanes where he was struck by several other vehicles.

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. — An SUV driver involved in a collision on the interstate was hit and killed by an oncoming tractor-trailer, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The Fairfield County Coroner Chris Hill said Herbert Cayruth Nelson III, 44, of Columbia, died at the scene. The crash happened just after 2 a.m. Monday on I-77 north near the 32 mile marker, which is two miles south of Ridgeway, troopers said.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A chain reaction crash late Saturday night involving five cars on U.S. 71 Highway in Kansas City, Missouri, left one person critically injured. Just before 11 p.m., police say a black Toyota Camry and a Chevrolet Cruz were stopped at a red light on northbound 71 when a Pontiac G6 rear-ended the Chevrolet, pushing it into the Camry. A northbound Chrysler 300 tried to avoid the crashed vehicles but struck a concrete wall in doing so.

UPDATE 10/15 AT 6:25 P.M. ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY, VA. (WFXR) — Virginia State Police (VSP) have identified the victim of a deadly crash that left I-81 North shut down in Rockbridge County on Oct. 14. The crash remains under investigation; however, VSP says the incident took place at 5 p.m. on I-81 North, near Raphine Road. According to VSP, a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe was illegally parked on the right shoulder of the highway, when it was hit by a 2018 Kenworth tractor-trailer.

A man died Saturday after he rear-ended a tractor-trailer on Interstate 40 West in Durham. Around 2 a.m., officers responded to a crash in the westbound lanes of I-40 near South Miami Boulevard (Exit 281). According to police, a man in a gray 2012 Honda Accord hit the back of a tractor-trailer that was parked on the side of the road. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt. He was transported to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.

OLATHE, Kan. — New photos have been released of a white truck Overland Park Police believe fatally struck an Olathe man and then the driver left the crash site. It happened early Monday morning at about 1 after George Abasta, 50, had been in a collision on Interstate 435 near the Metcalf exit. When Abasta tried to cross westbound I-435 on foot, presumably to get help, Overland Park Police detectives say the truck driver struck Abasta.

COPLEY TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WJW) – A man was taken to the hospital in serious condition after a crash in Copley Township Thursday afternoon. The two-vehicle crash happened on State Route 21, near Minor Road, around 3:23 p.m. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash happened while a 2002 Ford F250 Super Duty was broken down on the side of the road. The driver was outside of the vehicle when a 2021 Jeep Gladiator heading northbound hit the back left corner of the pickup truck before hitting him.

A driver stopped to fix a flat tire on the side of Interstate 25 in Broomfield on Friday. They and a passenger were then struck by an oncoming vehicle, killing them. Police responded to a crash on northbound I-25 between 144th Avenue and Highway 7 around 10 p.m. Friday, according to a press release by the Broomfield Police Department. Responders found that two vehicles were involved in the incident. The section of I-25 was shutdown until around 5 a.
