Multi-car crash on I-84 in Boise leaves one Washington woman dead, several others injured
A multi-car collision Saturday on Interstate 84 in Boise left one person dead and several others injured. A woman, described as in her 50s and from Tacoma, Washington, was killed when a flatbed truck struck the back of the Nissan Sentra she was a passenger in, pushing it into a stationary Freightliner box truck, according to an Idaho State Police news release Monday. Two other individuals in the Nissan — the 36-year-old female driver and a 64-year-old male passenger — were also injured.

Two men were injured Saturday night in North Long Beach when a driver rear-ended them while they were pushing a disabled vehicle out of traffic lanes, according to Long Beach police. About 10:52 p.m., officers responded to a call about a crash near Artesia Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue, Long Beach Police Department spokesperson Richard Mejia said in an email. The investigation is ongoing but so far indicates one man was driving when his vehicle became disabled, so he pulled over and started to push it out of the road; a second man came over to help.

FRANKLIN, Ind. – One person died due to an accident on southbound I-65, between the Whiteland and Franklin exits early Sunday morning. The fatal crash involving a car and a semi-truck took place at around 4:30 a.m., according to the Indiana State Police (ISP). The Johnson County Coroner’s Office says that Destiny Lynn Johnson, 23, of Indianapolis, was identified as the victim of the crash. When Johnson County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived they found a passenger car underneath a semi-trailer.

WARREN, Mich. — Three people were injured in a fiery crash after a speeding motorist slammed into a crashed SUV on Sunday, splitting it in half, authorities said. According to the Michigan State Police, troopers were responding to a crash involving a Chevrolet Equinox and a Dodge Caliber on Interstate 696 near Warren at about 1:50 a.m. EDT. The Caliber rolled over on the highway, and the driver of the Equinox exited the vehicle to check on the other motorist, WDIV-TV reported.

A barbecue became a tragedy Friday night in Madera after a man unloading supplies for the event was hit and killed by the driver of a car who also died, the California Highway Patrol reported The incident took place at Avenue 17 and Crescent Drive. The CHP said the deaths occurred just before 10 p.m. when a Kerman man attending the event was getting corn from the bed of a Ford F-250 pickup on the south shoulder of Avenue 17, just east of Crescent.

HENRICO, Va. (WWBT) - A 37-year-old man died in a crash on northbound I-95 near Parham Road on Thursday morning. “A 2018 Freightliner was stopped on the shoulder when a 2019 International MV 607 truck ran off the road and rear-ended the stopped Freightliner,” Virginia State Police said about the crash that happened just after 4:30 a.m. Police say the driver of the International, Jeremy James Batty, died on the scene.

One person was killed and another was injured Monday night when a motorcycle crashed into a car on Interstate 20, the South Carolina Highway Patrol said. Vernon A. Deas, a 55-year-old Sumter resident, died in the accident, Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford said Wednesday night. The two-vehicle collision happened at about 7:10 p.m. in Richland County, according to Master Trooper Gary Miller. A 2016 Nissan Versa was legally stopped on the median of I-20 near the 76 mile marker, Miller said.

BAKER COUNTY, Fla. – A man died early Thursday morning when he was hit by a semi after getting out of his disabled car on I-10 westbound in Baker County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers said the man, whose age and hometown were not released, was involved in a crash that left his car disabled in the outside travel lane of I-10 westbound near mile marker 328. According to the FHP report, the man got out of the disabled car on the highway, and a 35-year-old man driving a semi in the outside westbound lane struck the back of the disabled car and the man.
