OHP: Nine vehicle collision results in triple fatality near Chickasha
Dec. 8—The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) is investigating the cause of a nine vehicle collision that took place near Chickasha on Thursday. OHP reported that parts of the H.E. Bailey Turnpike near the crash at mile marker 76 were shut down for up to six hours as multiple agencies responded to the scene. The eastbound and westbound lanes of the turnpike were closed between US-277 (mile marker 80) in Chickasha and US-277 (mile marker 53) in Elgin due to the crash and a grass fire, according to the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA).

A man is in critical condition after a driver crashed into him Wednesday in Harrisburg, then fled the scene, police said. The man was trying to help with a vehicle that had broken down at Cameron and Paxton streets when he was hit around 8:15 p.m., according to police. Police said the driver who hit the man was traveling through the Cameron and Paxton intersection at the time and left the area without stopping after the crash.

EDINBURGH, Ind. (WISH) — A man died Wednesday night after he was struck while standing outside a disabled vehicle by a semitrailer on I-65 in Shelby County. At 9:12 p.m., 911 dispatch began receiving multiple calls about a serious crash involving a semitrailer and a pick-up truck on I-65 near the Shelby/ Johnson County Line, a release said. First responders arrived and found a man unresponsive on the ground. Medics pronounced him deceased at the scene.

HOCKESSIN, Del. (WPVI) – Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash after a wrecked vehicle was discovered near Lancaster Pike in Hockessin Wednesday. Troopers were called to the crash site on Lancaster Pike, near Hercules Road, just after 4 p.m. after a passing motorist noticed a vehicle off the roadway. When troopers arrived, they found a 42-year-old man from Oxford, Pennsylvania, dead at the scene. Lancaster Pike was then closed down for approximately four hours while the crash was investigated.

The driver of the car who was killed Tuesday morning after crashing into a stalled truck on northbound Interstate 680 in Martinez has been identified by the Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office. Jimmy Thai, 39, of Novato, died in the crash, which was reported to the California Highway Patrol shortly after 9:30 a.m. Someone driving a Ford F-550 truck stopped in the far left lane of the highway over mechanical issues.

GOODYEAR, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) — Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers are on the scene of a deadly crash involving two vehicles along Interstate 10 in the West Valley Wednesday morning. The crash was reported around 8 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near Litchfield Road. DPS tells Arizona’s Family that the driver, identified only as a woman, was speeding and driving recklessly in the area when she slammed into a cement mixer truck that had been disabled and stopped in the on-ramp side area.

DAKOTA CITY, Neb. (KTIV) - A series of crashes Wednesday morning on an interstate in northeast Nebraska resulted in one person dying. The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office says they responded to an accident at about 5 a.m. on I-129. According to the sheriff’s office, the initial crash was in the eastbound lanes and involved a 2008 Toyota Camry that was reported stolen from South Sioux City, Nebraska. The sheriff’s office says the Camry was going eastbound on I-129 when it struck the center median barricade.
