Crash injures Eveleth man after vehicle, stopped for ducks on the road, was rear-ended
LITTLE FALLS — A 42-year-old Eveleth man was injured Thursday, June 8, after the vehicle he was riding in was rear-ended on Highway 10 in Morrison County. The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash, reported at 12:22 p.m. in Little Falls. According to the report, a 2019 Dodge Caravan was westbound on the highway, stopping near Highway 27 for some ducks in the road when it was rear-ended by a 2004 Ford F150.

A darkened stretch of Highway 101 was shut down on the night of Monday, June 5, 2023, after a passenger van collided with a truck broken in the middle of the road. Upper Sandusky - Troopers from the Bucyrus Post are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on June 7, 2023, at approximately 8:36 P.M on U.S. Route (US) 23 near milepost 16 in Wyandot County. The crash involved a 2013 Ford Fusion, operated by Sofia Greggio, age 22, of Canton, Michigan, and a 2011 Volvo commercial truck, operated by Roberto Garces-Guzman, age 47, of North Bergen, New Jersey. Preliminary investigation reveals the Volvo was stopped on the right shoulder of US 23 northbound.

A woman died after being struck by a vehicle while walking across Highway 99 in Sacramento on Wednesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol. CHP said that the woman was driving on southbound 99 around 10:07 p.m. when her car got a flat tire north of Elkhorn Boulevard. As another vehicle was driving down the highway, the woman crossed over into another lane and was hit and killed, CHP said.

A 74-year-old man tending to his broken down car on Interstate 5 in Fresno County was killed when he was hit by a big rig, the California Highway Patrol said Tuesday. The Myrtle Point, Oregon, man was working on the car on the right shoulder but standing within the roadway about 11 p.m. Monday on I-5 north of Jayne Avenue in Coalinga, CHP said. A Peterbilt truck driven by a 31-year-old Bakersfield man approached from behind, but the driver did not see the victim at the edge of the lane, the CHP said.

TOMS RIVER — A Lakehurst woman was killed after she hit a tire laying on the Garden State Parkway and lost control of her vehicle. New Jersey State Trooper Charles Marchan said Elaina S. Clarke, 46, hit the tire in the southbound lanes near the Toms River tolls with her Chevrolet Equinox around 5:30 a.m. The tire was in the road following a one-vehicle crash involving a Ford F-250 that was disabled in the center median.

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. – A child was killed in a multi-vehicle crash that closed eastbound Route 360 (Hull Street Road) in Chesterfield County Monday afternoon, according to Chesterfield Police. The crash happened near the intersection of Route 360 (Hull Street Road) and Route 603 (Skinquarter Road). “At about 2:20 p.m., police said, a 1999 Toyota sedan was traveling east on Hull Street Road when it struck a 2019 GMC pickup truck and camper that had pulled off Hull Street Road onto the right shoulder,” a Chesterfield Police spokesperson wrote in an email about the crash.

Investigators responded to the crash in the eastbound lanes of Interstate-435 and Blue River around 10 p.m. Police said a woman and a 5-year-old child were passengers in an SUV when it ran out of gas on the highway. The SUV stalled in a lane of traffic, but police said the driver put on the hazards.

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. – One driver was sent to the hospital with minor injuries following a crash on the Escambia Bay Bridge Saturday morning. The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-10 – blocking the roadway for a short period of time. According to Florida Highway Patrol, the accident involved three vehicles. One of the vehicles was disabled on the shoulder of the road. Troopers say a passing vehicle struck the disabled vehicle and rotated into the roadway.
