Police Arrest Man Accused of Killing 2 People on I-91 in Wethersfield
Police have arrested a man that’s accused of fleeing a crash that left two pedestrians dead on Interstate 91 in Wethersfield last year. State police said 34-year-old Shawn Wright, of Windsor, turned himself in to police on Wednesday after learning there was an active warrant for his arrest. On Sept. 19, 2021, troopers responded to a car accident involving pedestrians on I-91 North at about 4 a.m. Responding officers said a total of four pedestrians were involved.

BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. (KTXL) — With the help of three Caltrans District employees, a woman and her four dogs were saved after their vehicle went down an embankment along State Route 32 on Nov. 3. Tina Milberger and her four dogs were traveling on State Route 32 at around 11:30 p.m. when she lost control of the vehicle and went over the edge of the road after overturning. Hanging upside down and unable to get out of the vehicle Milberger was stranded in the wrecked vehicle until two Caltrans maintenance workers from Chester discovered her vehicle.

ENON, Ohio (WDTN) — One person is dead after a chain reaction crash on eastbound I-70 Wednesday morning. According to the Springfield post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, there were 3 crashes. The first crash involved a car that swerved to avoid a deer carcass. That car hit a semi-truck. The driver of that car got out and was hit by another vehicle. She is in stable condition.

CHULA VISTA, Calif. (CNS) - An unidentified woman was found dead Wednesday in an SUV that apparently crashed on a Chula Vista street before coming to rest upside down and partially submerged in a drainage ditch, authorities said. A landscaper spotted the overturned 2005 Ford Explorer near a broken section of fencing in the 700 block of Telegraph Canyon Road shortly before 10 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Chula Vista Police Department.

CEDAR CITY — Multiple collisions were reported during snowy weather early Wednesday afternoon along a stretch of Interstate 15 near the New Harmony exit. Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Bambi Baie said the first crash, which happened shortly after noon, involved a Subaru Forester heading southbound. After its driver lost control, the Subaru rolled off the right side of the roadway and ended up on the passenger side. At least three other vehicles sustained damage as another driver who had stopped to help had his vehicle rear-ended by another car, which then shot across the roadway and struck a semitractor-trailer, Baie said.

A man was killed this morning when a vehicle that was disabled with no lights in lanes of the Valencia (5) Freeway in Santa Clarita was struck by another vehicle. The crash was reported at 3:13 a.m. on the southbound Valencia Freeway south of Highway 126 and Newhall Ranch Road, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash left one vehicle on its side and the man in lanes, the CHP said.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - HEMSI responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on Monday night at 5017 Millennium Dr. NW. According to Don Webster with HEMSI, the 25-year-old female pedestrian and a male driver of one of the cars are being transported to the hospital. The pedestrian is said to have non-life-threatening injuries while the male driver has minor injuries. According to Rosalind White with the Huntsville Police Department, it is believed the woman was hit by an oncoming vehicle as she attempted to respond to a nearby two-vehicle accident.

A two-vehicle crash west of Winnipeg last Friday blocked traffic on the Trans-Canada Highway for several hours. Manitoba RCMP responded to the collision in the eastbound lane of Highway 1 about two kilometres east of Sidney just before 5 p.m. When emergency crews arrived they found a flat deck semi-trailer stopped on the shoulder which had been struck by an eastbound box truck. Police determined that the driver of the semi-trailer had pulled over onto the shoulder of the highway to check his load when it was struck from behind by the box truck.
