2 found dead after vehicle overturns into creek near Hardin Valley
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Two people were found dead Wednesday morning after a pickup truck overturned into a creek near Hardin Valley, according to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. The two people were identified as Kyle Everette Nelson, 36, and Tiffany Marie Fletcher, 26, according to the unofficial Traffic Crash Report. The report stated that Nelson was driving and Fletcher was in the passenger seat. KCSO spokesperson Kimberly Glenn said about 10 a.

Nov. 30—A Medford man was struck and killed Monday morning on Interstate 5 near Red Bluff, California, during the long drive home from the funeral of his father only days before. Zachary D. Mitchell was trading seats with his partner, Lacey Mobley, after driving the first 10 hours of the trip home to Southern Oregon from Apple Valley, California. Mobley was putting on her shoes and getting ready to walk around the couple’s car when Mitchell was hit by a 2014 Toyota Prius driven by a 55-year-old man from The Dalles.

A person who had apparently crashed in the Angeles National Forest days ago was finally rescued Wednesday. The person was pulled from the wreckage of the side of the road near 3299 Big Tujunga Canyon Road around 11 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Rescuers told KTLA they believed the victim had been there since Sunday. The patient was flown to Huntington Memorial Hospital in unknown condition.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — Police are investigating after a truck driver was struck and killed on Interstate 495 near Braddock Road in Fairfax County Wednesday night. According to Virginia State Police (VSP), a separate crash occurred between a tractor trailer and a sedan in the northbound lanes, causing the sedan to come to a stop on the left shoulder of Express Lanes. The truck driver reportedly got out of his vehicle and was running across the Express Lanes toward the sedan when he was hit by an SUV.

Investigators said that the accident happened at around 4:30 p.m. along I-81 near the exit for Route 730. It appears that 39-year-old Arturo Garcia Silverio was the driver of a Honda Accord stopped in the right lane of southbound I-81 for unclear reasons. While there, a Freightliner hit Silverio’s Honda, then overturned on the median.

A semitruck driver was injured when he was struck by a car on Interstate 90 while he was out of his truck to set up reflective triangles to warn drivers of his truck, the Idaho State Police reported in a news release. For the second time in less than a week a person has been killed on Interstate 5 in the North State after getting hit by a vehicle. The latest deadly collision happened early Monday morning in Tehama County. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Medford, Oregon, man was driving north on I-5 around 4:45 a.m. when he stopped on the right shoulder south of Adobe Road and got out of his vehicle.

A woman was tragically killed after her disabled vehicle was struck by another driver in Bakersfield early Sunday morning. The California Highway Patrol says they were called to the scene in eastern Bakersfield sometime after 2:15 a.m. on November 27, 2022. KGET-TV reported the accident happened along the westbound lanes of Highway 58, just west of the Oswell Street exit. Investigators say a 50-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man were sitting in their disabled Ford Thunderbird along the right shoulder of the road.
