Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Tractor-Trailer on I-45 in Wilmer, TX
Wilmer, TX – September 23, 2021, a 67-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 45 in Dallas County. Authorities say the incident happened around 9:30 a.m. on I-45 near Pleasant Run Road. Preliminary investigation suggests a Freightliner Cascadia semi-truck registered to Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. was towing double trailers north on I-45 in the right lane, south of the Belt Line overpass. Reports indicate that the victim was standing in the roadway ahead attempting to direct traffic away from her parked vehicle in the right lane.

MERIDIAN, Idaho (KLIX)-A man was killed when a pickup truck rear-ended his car on the interstate in Meridian Thursday afternoon. According to Idaho State Police, the crash happened at around 3:30 p.m. between Ten Mile and Meridian Roads in the eastbound lanes. ISP said the man, age 29, was stopped on the left side shoulder of Interstate 84 in a Kia Sorento when a Dodge pickup hit him from behind and pushed the SUV across all four lanes to the right shoulder.

The crash happened early Friday morning near Bowman and involved a car and two tractor-trailers, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. — The Orangeburg County coroner has identified the person killed early Friday morning in an accident on I-26 that also sent a tractor-trailer into oncoming traffic. According to South Carolina Highway Patrol Lance Corporal Tyler Tidwell, the crash happened around 5:15 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-26 about five miles outside of Bowman.

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) – Nevada Highway Patrol was investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian Monday morning in the south Las Vegas Valley. According to NHP, the crash occurred near the I-15 northbound, north of Starr Avenue about 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 4. Witnesses told NHP a white utility truck was in the shoulder with hazard lights on. The male driver was outside of truck. A utility van in the far right lane failed to maintain the lane, swerved and hit the man.

A cardiologist suspected in a hit-and-run that killed a nurse who had stopped to help a crash victim on a highway was arrested after a months-long investigation aided by an anonymous tip, authorities said. James Leonard Comazzi, 68, was arrested Monday at his Sonora home and booked into Fresno County jail. He posted bond Tuesday. California Highway Patrol Lt. Austin Matulonis made the arrest announcement in front of the family of Juliana Ramos, a 27-year-old nurse and mother of three.

Hesperia, CA – October 4, 2021, two truck drivers were injured when a tractor-trailer hit a disabled box truck on Interstate 15 in Hesperia. Authorities say the incident happened around 7:55 a.m. on northbound I-15 between Joshua and Main streets. Preliminary investigation suggests a Hino 195 box truck was disabled on the right shoulder of the roadway when, for unknown reasons, a Freightliner Cascadia tractor-trailer rear-ended it. The impact caused the Hino truck to overturn on its side.

CHP’s North Sacramento division said it got a call around 6:05 p.m. about a crash on westbound Interstate 80 west of Madison Avenue. Officers who responded learned that a green GMC pickup truck was traveling westbound and, for reasons unknown, went off the road and hit a Nissan Sentra and a Ford F-150.

A man is in hospital after he was struck by a vehicle on Highway 401 while trying to help following a crash in the area. It happened around 1 a.m. Tuesday on the westbound lanes of the highway near the Renforth bridge. The man was rushed to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. Provincial police said a vehicle with three people inside stopped to help after a tractor-trailer jack-knifed on the westbound lanes of the 401 at Highway 427.

Emergency services were called to Pindimar Road near Myall Way about 11.30am after reports a Nissan Dualis and Subaru Forrester were involved in a crash. “Police have been told a woman stopped her Nissan Dualis on the shoulder of Pindimar Road, when it was struck by a Subaru Forrester,” NSW Police said in a statement. A 64-year-old woman, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene. The Subaru’s driver, a 46-year-old man, was trapped in the wreckage before emergency services freed him.
