Car hits unoccupied vehicle off northbound US-75 highway south of Topeka

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A two-vehicle crash brought rush-hour traffic to a crawl Monday morning on a highway just south of Topeka. No serious injuries were reported in the collision, which was reported around 7:45 a.m. Monday on northbound US-75 highway just south of S.W. 57th Street. Shawnee County sheriff’s officials at the scene said a black Ford Fusion car that was headed north on US-75 struck an unoccupied Acura four-door car that was parked on the right-hand shoulder of the roadway.

One Injured in 18-Wheelers Accident on US-287 in Potter County, TX

Potter County, TX – August 21, 2021, a 67-year-old man was seriously injured when two commercial trucks collided on U.S. Highway 287 in Potter County. Authorities say the incident happened around 9:15 p.m. on US-287 near mile marker 124. Preliminary investigation suggests a Freightliner semi-truck with an attached trailer was in a prior accident and as a result was disabled in the left eastbound lane of traffic on US-287. The truck crashed and became disabled less than a minute prior to a Freightliner Cascadia 126 semi-truck towing a trailer approaching from the west.

2 drivers struck and killed on I-80 in Berkeley after getting out of cars to argue about collision

BERKELEY, Calif. - Two drivers died after leaving their cars to argue about a crash Sunday morning on Interstate Highway 80 in Berkeley, authorities said. The collision was reported about 1:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-80, west of University Avenue, between a Chevrolet Malibu and a Dodge Durango.The two men driving the vehicles and a female passenger left the cars and were arguing in lanes of traffic, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Police: Manchester man died in three-car crash on I-93 in Andover

ANDOVER — Authorities are investigating a fatal three-car crash that happened Sunday around 2:17 a.m. on Interstate 93 southbound near Exit 40 in Andover, according to a statement from State Police. Police say a preliminary investigation shows that a 2014 Toyota Sienna, operated by a 52-year-old man from Lawrence, was traveling southbound on I-93 when it struck a 2011 Honda Accord, operated by a 32-year-old woman from Malden.The initial collision caused the Accord to go off the right side of the road into the tree line and the Sienna to become disabled in the middle travel lane, according to police.

Clemmons man killed in crash on I-40

A Clemmons man was killed Thursday when the car he was driving crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer on the side of Interstate 40 in Burke County.Marcus Deal, 34, of Clemmons, was killed when the car he was driving went off the side of Interstate 40 and hit a stopped tractor-trailer, said Trooper D.R. Lane with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. Fatal crash involving a stopped box truck shuts I-95 north near State Road 836

A man was killed and another was injured when the driver of a Volkswagen slammed into a disabled box truck on Interstate 95 Friday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The fatal accident, which happened just after 10 a.m., shut down the northbound lanes of I-95 near State Road 836. According to FHP, the box truck was blocking the left lane when a gray Volkswagen struck it. The Volkswagen then collided into a black Nissan sedan.

Key West woman killed in crash on McGregor Boulevard

FORT MYERS, Fla. — A Key West woman was hit and killed in a crash on McGregor Boulevard on Thursday morning. The 50-year-old woman’s Ferrari was disabled in the continuous left-turn lane on McGregor Boulevard near Camelot Drive just before 4:45 a.m. The woman’s car was partially blocking the left southbound lane and had no headlights, tail lights or hazards turned on, according to Florida Highway Patrol. The woman was crouched down next to the right of her car in the southbound lane with a portable fuel can.

The New Braunfels Police Department are searching for the driver involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash early Saturday morning. It happened around 8:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of Interstate 35 North at Highway 46 in the northbound lanes. When officers arrived on scene they found the driver of an 18-wheeler pulled over on the shoulder of the highway and was standing near the back left corner of the trailer when he was hit by a car traveling northbound.

MT. JULIET, Tenn (WTVF) — Jeizon Arellano, 17, was standing next to a trailer working to change a flat tire when he was hit by a vehicle. He died Thursday night from his injuries. NewsChannel 5 talked with the family earlier in the day before he passed. They said they were praying for a miracle. “I don’t know. It doesn’t seem real, like, I still think he’s gonna be okay,” said Jeizon’s brother Brandon Arellano.

2 Brothers Killed in NH Crash, Father Expected to Survive

Two brothers – one a first grader and the other a high school student – were killed in a crash on Interstate 89 in Bow, New Hampshire, on Friday morning. Bow School Superintendent Dean Cascadden identified the brothers as 11th grader Nicholas Ouellette and first grader Gavin Ouellette of Bow in a statement to the school community. The boys’ father, Tom Ouellette, the Bow school resource officer, suffered serious injuries in the crash, but is expected to survive.
