El Paso man causes six-vehicle crash in Hartley, County and killed in accident
EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Donald Diebel Jr. of El Paso, Texas was responsible for causing a 6-vehicle crash Friday morning. The six-car pileup happened on the US 54 in Hartley, County located 6 miles Southwest of Dalhart, Texas according to a press release issued by the Texas Department of Transportation. TxDot reports that construction in a Southbound lane of the US 54 had caused traffic to come to a complete stop when Diebel’s vehicle did not stop or reduce his speed for the stalled traffic.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – On Wednesday evening, Nov. 2, an 18-wheel semi-truck was traveling north on SR-89 without tire chains. Driving in severe snow conditions, upon braking the truck driver began to slide on the steep slope; and shortly thereafter, the rig hit a stalled car ahead. The truck driver and his passenger quickly jumped out and while the truck hit the disabled vehicle ahead during its slide, there were no reported injuries.

The sky was still dark when Jose Gonzalez drove his black Chevy Silverado toward his job at Deep Rock Water in Five Points. As he headed from his home in Lakewood down 6th Ave., he saw cars turned sideways on the highway. At first, he was confused, wondering why so many vehicles were pulled over. Then, as he lost control of his truck and crashed, he realized why. There was a pile-up on the icy road before him that he was now a part of.

Hampshire Police have confirmed the death of a woman following a crash in Hampshire. According to Hampshire Constabulary, at around 11.50pm on Wednesday (November 2) two motorists, who had stepped out of their cars because a tree had fallen and was blocking the road, were involved in a collision with a white Vauxhall Corsa in Alton. A woman in her 50s suffered minor injuries while a woman in her 40s sadly died.

An off-duty firefighter from the New Haven Fire Department was killed when he was hit by a car on Interstate 91 in New Haven on Wednesday night, according to the Connecticut State Police. Thomas Mieles, 27, of New Haven was driving north on I-91 just south of Exit 8 when his car became disabled in the left lane around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, state police said. Two other vehicles, a Ford Taurus driven by a 25-year-old West Haven woman and a Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 48-year-old Southington woman, stopped in front of Mieles’ vehicle to assist him, state police said.

A Middletown man and a Wilmington woman have been identified as the two people who died in a collision with a disabled tractor-trailer on southbound Route 1 on the Roth Bridge. The crash occurred late Sunday night, shortly after the truck became disabled when it was hit by another car. The tractor-trailer was going slowly and had its hazard lights flashing when it was first struck by a car which had changed lanes.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – The medical examiner is working to figure out how two people died in southwest Houston after their bodies were found inside a car several hours after it went underwater in a bayou on Monday. No one may have known or noticed the car was submerged initially. Houston police said they think the driver was involved in a single-car crash around 3 a.m. or 4 a.m. Someone heard the sound but didn’t discover the car in the bayou or call for help until almost half a day later, according to investigators.

HARRISON COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - A car crashed into a truck on the shoulder of I-20, killing one driver and leaving the other injured. On Oct. 30 at about 3:15 a.m., Nina L. Allen, 26, of Longview, was traveling east on I-20 in a Toyota Corolla when she struck a Ford F-150 that was disabled from a previous crash on the shoulder of the road, according to a DPS report. The crash happened about 3 miles east of Longview.

Garland, TX — November 1, 2022, one person died and another was injured when a semi-truck hit another on the shoulder of Interstate 30 in Dallas County. Authorities say the incident happened shortly before 5:00 a.m. on westbound I-30 near Zion Road. Preliminary investigation suggests an 18-wheeler was stopped on the shoulder for unknown reasons when another westbound big rig ran onto the shoulder and crashed into it. After the impact both trucks hit the retaining wall and one caught fire.

A 29-year-old Stamford man was killed in a three-car crash on Route 15 in Stamford late Monday, according to the Connecticut State Police. Troopers responded to Route 15 north near Exit 34 in Stamford after 10:15 p.m. for a crash. Preliminary investigations determined that a Saab sedan was driving in the left lane when it lost control and hit a wooden guide rail in the median. The car came to a stop across the left lane and was hit by a Toyota Highlander.
