1 dead after being hit while pushing disabled vehicle off U.S. 290
One person was struck and killed by a vehicle while pushing a car off the highway, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. The crash happened at about 4:04 p.m. Sunday on U.S. 290 near the Kickapoo exit ramp. Omar Ramirez and Jesus Garcia were pushing their car off of the main lanes of the highway after running out of gas, according to Harris County Sheriff’s Office. A 12-year-old was seated in the front seat, steering, while the two men pushed.

MENANDS, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Troy man who stopped his car in the middle lane of I-787 Saturday morning was struck and killed by his own car, according to the New York State Police. After stopping the car, Eddie Robinson, 84, got out and stood in front of it. Shortly thereafter, the car was hit from behind. Robinson’s car was pushed into him, and he later succumbed to his injuries at Albany Medical Center.

GREENFIELD, Ind. — A Richmond motorcyclist died late Saturday in an Interstate 70 crash. Mark Webster, 47, was found dead by Indiana State Police officers in the eastbound I-70 lanes near the 97 mile marker, according to a state police news release. Officers had responded Saturday night just before midnight to the multi-vehicle crash that included a semi-tractor trailer on fire, the release said. Other drivers involved were not injured.

DETROIT, Mich. (FOX 2) - Two people were killed in a crash involving six cars on I-94 near Mt. Elliott according to Michigan State Police. Investigators said at 2:25 a.m. on Saturday, a Ford Fusion lost control and crashed into the center median on I-94. The Fusion was then rear-ended by a Kia; turning the Fusion sideways and blocking the freeway’s left lane. The Kia stopped on the right shoulder.

Florida, United States: After being ejected from his car in an accident on the US’ Interstate Highway 75, a Florida man jumped into a river to avoid getting hit by another car. Rescue crews responded Thursday to a crash involving three vehicles in the southbound lanes of I-75 at the Little Manatee River overpass, the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue said. One of these vehicles flipped over and the driver was ejected from the car.

Reports say the incident happened around 10:30 a.m. on the 1200 block of E Loop 281. Preliminary investigation suggests a vehicle swerved off the road in the area and crashed into an 18-wheeler that was parked on the shoulder, loading supplies. Minor injuries were reported at the scene and attended to by responders.

STOKES COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — A man was killed in a wreck near Pinnacle early Thursday morning after his Jeep crashed, he was ejected from his vehicle and then a tractor trailer crashed into him. State troopers responded to a crash at about 1:30 a.m. on U.S. 52 northbound near Perch Road after a1998 Jeep traveling north ran off the road and overturned. The driver, Matthew B. Dills, 50, of Winston-Salem, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected during the crash.

While one person was outside the vehicle changing the tire a westbound GMC Yukon traveled off the road, struck the pedestrian, and overturned.
