Wife witnesses deadly hit-and-run on Beltway 8 near Clay Road
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – One person died in a hit-and-run crash that started as a two vehicle accident on the West Sam Houston Tollway around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. Investigators say one car rear ended the other before both vehicles pulled over to the side of the freeway. One car pulled over on the right shoulder and the other stopped partially in a lane, deputies say. Officials say one driver got out of his vehicle to look at damage that happened from the initial crash and was fatally struck by a third car that was driving erratically.

DAVIE, FLA. (WSVN) - Authorities are investigating a multi-vehicle crash along Interstate 595 in Davie that left one person dead and shut down all eastbound lanes for hours. Florida Highway Patrol units responded to the scene along the eastbound lanes just west of Davie Road, just after 5 a.m., Saturday. Investigators said a pickup truck and a semi-truck with a carnival ride towed in the back had been involved in a sideswiped collision and were stopped in center lanes when the driver of a van traveling east was unable to stop and rammed into the back of the semi-truck.

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — A woman is dead after her car stopped on Interstate 40 west in Greensboro on Saturday morning. At 9:04 a.m., police responded to the crash on I-40 west, near Vanstory Street. Police say 79-year-old Lena Langley Thompson, of Greensboro, was driving a 1986 Nissan 300ZX west on I-40 when the vehicle stopped in the center lane. A Greensboro 21-year-old, driving a 2015 Chevrolet Sonic, hit the Nissan.

FARGO (KFGO) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol responded to multiple crashes along I-29 and I-94 on Friday, including two that resulted in injuries. The first injury crash happened just before 9 a.m. on southbound I-29 near the Gardner exit. The NDHP said a 43-year-old male from Fargo lost control of his car, causing it to come to rest across both southbound lanes. The driver exited his vehicle. A 41-year-old male from Forest River, driving a pickup truck, struck the car “in a sideswipe style collision” before a semi-truck, driven by a 26- year-old Fargo male, rear ended the car.

St. Louis, MO – February 10, 2022, a man was killed after an accident where a vehicle crashed into the back of a semi-trailer on South 4th Street. Investigators reported that the crash took place at around 10:30 a.m. along South 4th Street off the corner of Spruce Street. According to authorities, a semi-trailer was at a stop on 4th Street with its harzard lights on reportedly waiting to turn into the Tums facility.

A Montgomery teen missing since January was found dead this week, according to his family. LaDarrien Wheat, 18, was last seen on Saturday, Jan. 22. He ate breakfast and lunch with his family, and later that date went to visit his girlfriend. He left his girlfriend’s home about 6:30 p.m. and wasn’t heard from again. His parents, Stephanie and Herbert Wheat Sr., said their son was found dead inside his vehicle in a Montgomery area pond.

McCURTAIN COUNTY, Okla. (KSLA) - A dive team searching Broken Bow Lake in McCurtain County has pulled a body from a submerged vehicle Thursday morning (Feb. 10). Sheriff Kevin Clardy confirms the body is that of 24-year-old Alyssa Walker-Donaldson, who was reported missing by family members on Feb. 7. The sheriff says there are no immediate signs of foul play. A toxicology analysis will be performed. The sheriff says there is no indication that the case is connected to the escaped inmates in the area, as many had speculated.

HARMONY TWP., Clark County — One person died when their car struck a semi that was broken down on Interstate 70. Michael W. Stevenson, 54, of Westerville, was driving a 2021 Subaru Ascent that hit the right rear corner of a semi that was broken down in the middle lane, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Stevenson’s Subaru then traveled off the right side of the roadway. He was pronounced deceased on the scene.

A 63-year-old Miami City man is dead following a six-car crash, involving three sedans and two pickup trucks, on south Interstate 95 near Palmetto Park Road in Boca Raton. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, a sedan driven by a 34 year-old Colorado man was traveling south on Interstate 95 in the outside express lane then veered left to the inside express lane, before veering right once again.
