Two Injured in Rear-End Crash with Disabled 18-Wheeler on I-15 in Victorville, CA
Victorville, CA – January 10, 2022, a woman and a child were injured in a rear-end collision with a disabled tractor-trailer on Interstate 15 in Victorville. Authorities say the incident happened just after 2:00 p.m. on southbound I-15 near the Stoddard Wells Road off-ramp. Preliminary investigation suggests a commercial 18-wheeler was pulled onto the shoulder of the roadway in the area while the driver changed a tire. He told investigators that as he worked on the tire a red sedan approached from the road and crashed into the back of his truck’s trailer.

Authorities say the incident happened shortly before 11:45 p.m. along Orla Road south of Royce Lane. Preliminary investigation suggests a commercial tractor-trailer became stuck in the dirt on the roadway, blocking both traffic lanes. Reports indicate a number of motorists including Dominguez stopped to help the truck driver.

While disabled in the inside lane, an 18-wheeler crashed into Blaney’s vehicle, causing it to catch fire.

Provincial police in Chatham-Kent say a 51-year-old truck driver from Brampton, Ont., is facing a careless driving charge in connection with a collision Wednesday on Highway 401 involving two tractor-trailers. The collision occurred around 8:15 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the highway near the 66 kilometre marker in Raleigh Township when a stationary tractor-trailer on the shoulder was struck by another tractor-trailer, police said. The driver of the second tractor-trailer was later charged with several offences under the Highway Traffic Act, including careless driving and failure to maintain a daily log, police said.
