FHP searching for driver who struck, killed man working on a disabled car
Troopers say they are searching for a silver or tan 1999-2002 Mercury Grand Marquis with front-end damage. HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol is searching for a driver they say struck and killed a man on US-92 before taking off. According to a news release, a 56-year-old man was working on a disabled vehicle in the westbound lanes of the roadway when he was killed by a car attempting to pass.

PALM CITY, Fla. (CBS12) — The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for a woman who struck a 30-year-old man while driving on I-95. Authorities say on Sunday around 3:18 a.m. the victim was stopped on the shoulder of Interstate 95 just north of SW Martin Highway in a Red Kia Sorento. According to FHP, the victim says he exited his car to check on a possible mechanical issue, that’s when he was struck by a gray or silver SUV driven by a white female.

Stranded in a drainage ditch for three days after crashing her 2017 Honda Accord off of Interstate 59, it’s nothing short of a miracle that one Petal woman survived after sustaining serious injuries. However, with the help of an unidentified man walking the interstate who discovered the crashed vehicle, emergency crews responded to the scene and airlifted the crash victim to an area hospital Monday evening. Shanna Culpepper, 31, of Petal was driving north on Interstate 59 when she lost control and crashed into a concrete culvert near the Highway 588 bypass in Ellisville (exit 85) days earlier.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – A 39-year-old woman is dead after the Uber she was riding in was hit from behind over the weekend. The incident happened early Saturday. Houston police said Misty Holley was a passenger in a Mitsubishi Lancer, when the vehicle began having mechanical problems in a moving lane of traffic on the Southwest Freeway, near Newcastle.While stopped on the freeway, a truck slammed into the back of the car, killing Misty Holley.

WENATCHEE, Wash. - A Spokane woman who was missing for four days was rescued on Monday night from a steep ravine on Blewett Pass in Wenatchee. According to KHQ, the 68-year-old woman was reported missing on Nov. 18 after never showing up to her daughter’s apartment. Firefighters say she was found in her wrecked vehicle down a steep embankment on Blewett Pass. Rescue crews brought her to safety. KHQ said the woman was hypothermic and sustained injuries she is expected to recover from.

GREENLAND — New Hampshire State Police are looking to identify a driver they say fled the scene of a crash on Interstate 95 northbound in Greenland early Sunday morning. Members of New Hampshire State Police Troop A received a report at approximately 2:13 a.m. about the accident. The unknown operator who left the scene was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox, police said, adding a preliminary investigation determined it had been involved in a prior rollover crash on the roadway.

According to officials, an unidentified 24-year-old man was in a Suzuki Forenza that was struck by another vehicle. The collision caused the Suzuki to overturn, and the vehicle that hit it left the scene.

Authorities say the incident happened around 7:25 p.m. on the 5300 block of Woodland Park. Preliminary investigation suggests Norcross was traveling west on the roadway when he collided under unknown circumstances with the rear corner of an unoccupied 18-wheeler parked in the roadway. Norcross suffered critical injuries in the collision.

Around 2:13 a.m. Sunday, state police responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on Interstate 95 northbound in Greenland. A 2006 Chevrolet Equinox was involved in a rollover crash and on its side in the left travel lane of I-95 when it was hit by a 2014 Toyota Camry, driven by Omar Sowamrah, 26, of Portland, Maine, officials said.
