Crash kills Sacramento woman on Highway 50 in East Sacramento
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KTXL) — A 25-year-old Sacramento resident died early Thursday morning after her vehicle crashed on Highway 50 and was hit by an SUV. The California Highway Patrol said around 4:15 a.m., a woman in a 2005 Subaru Outback was driving east on Highway 50 in East Sacramento. As the Subaru approached the area of the highway over 59th Street, it veered off the road and struck multiple impact attenuators filled with water, the CHP reported.

Hunt County, TX – February 24, 2022, Julie Ann Burroughs was injured following an accident where multiple trucks crashed on the icy freeway. Investigators reported that the series of events took place at approximately 7:45 a.m. along I-30 near mile marker 99. Officials said that the roads were icy at the time of the crash. Apparently, a previous crash occurred, leaving a Ford Mustang stationary in the lanes of travel. Reports said that the driver of that vehicle, identified as 58-year-old Julie Ann Burroughs, was outside the vehicle nearby.

MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - The Missouri State Highway Patrol released preliminary details into last week’s massive, deadly pileup on Interstate 57 in Mississippi County. Three online reports show there were three crash scenes involving a total of 33 vehicles near Charleston at 8 a.m. on Thursday, March 17. Most of the vehicles involved in the multi-vehicle crashes were semi-trucks, including ones with tractor-trailers. The report also shows five people were killed and 15 others were injured.

Edinburgh Township, OH – March 18, 2022, one person was killed and one person was injured after an accident where a semi-truck struck them on I-76. Authorities reported that the crash took place early Friday in the area of I-76 and Route 225. Officials said that a 50-year-old Akron man and a 29-year-old man were outside of a vehicle they had just exited. It appears that vehicle somehow caught fire. After getting out of the vehicle, a semi-truck somehow hit both men.

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (CBS4) — Wheat Ridge Police Department responded to a crash on Interstate 70 eastbound in Wheat Ridge Monday morning, which delayed traffic. Police responded to the crash at I-70 eastbound and Carr Street, where investigators say a car rear ended a stalled vehicle on the interstate. The driver of the moving vehicle was hurt and taken to the hospital to treat serious injuries. According to the CDOT crash map, three right lanes on I-70 eastbound were closed between Kipling Street (exit 267) and Highway 121 (exit 269A) before the crash was cleared.

Members of an Effingham-area family injured in a chain-reaction car accident along Interstate 57 in Missouri are recovering after their truck was sandwiched in between two of the impacted vehicles along the fog-riddled roadway. Pat Mammoser of Newton, Mike Gibson of Effingham and Doug Mammoser of Island Grove were all hospitalized at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, while Steve Mammoser — also of Island Grove — was taken to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

The semi was not occupied at the time of the collision, which happened around 8:16 pm.

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) — Aurora police released new information about a crash which left a pedestrian dead on Friday night. The pedestrian was crossing East Colfax Avenue, not using a crosswalk, police say. The pedestrian was hit by a Mitsubishi sedan heading west, and the driver immediately stopped to help the victim, police say. That driver was subsequently hit by another vehicle described as a Mercury Mountaineer. The second vehicle also heading west.
