One Killed in Crash with 18-Wheeler on I-15 Shoulder in Fontana, CA
Fontana, CA – March 25, 2022, one person was killed when a passenger vehicle crashed into a parked tractor-trailer off Interstate 15 in Fontana. Authorities say the incident happened around 2:55 a.m. on the southbound shoulder of I-15 near the Duncan Canyon Road exit. Preliminary investigation suggests only that the victim was traveling south on the roadway when they lost control for unknown reasons. Their vehicle swerved out of the travel lanes and crashed into the back of an 18-wheeler that was parked on the right shoulder.

An 18-year-old from the Capital Region was killed in an early morning crash on Northway after her vehicle had become disabled and was stopped in the center lane of traffic. That’s according to New York State Police who say that Megi Hamza of Guilderland was traveling northbound on the Northway at around 4:45 a.m. on Sunday morning near the Twin Bridges when her vehicle became disabled in the middle land. Troopers say a tractor trailer driver turned on his hazard lights and pulled up alongside Hamza vehicle.

A coroner has slammed a smart motorway after a father-of-four was killed riding his motorcycle into a stationary vehicle that had become stranded on the inside lane of the M4. Zoltan Torok, a 42-year-old engineer, suffered ‘multiple catastrophic injuries’ when he struck a broken down grey Land Rover Discovery stuck in the ‘inner slow lane’ close to Junction 6 of the motorway near Slough, Berkshire, on May 7 last year.

A car crash involving over a dozen vehicles on a Pennsylvania highway amidst a brutal snow squall closed all lanes, with reports of people trapped, dozens of injuries and at least three deaths. The crash occurred before 11 a.m. Monday morning on I-81 northbound between Minersville and Highridge Park Road, with an estimated 50 to 60 vehicles involved. Officials said several semi-trucks were on fire and that there were at least two vehicles with people trapped inside.

UPDATE: 1:10 p.m. - March 28, 2022 PHILIPSBURG - The Granite County Sheriff’s Office said a man who was reported missing has been found. Sheriff Scott Dunkerson says law enforcement responded to an area west of Hall after receiving a call from a local resident who saw a vehicle matching the description of the vehicle 59-year-old Joseph Musekamp was driving and found him in his disabled vehicle. The vehicle had become stuck in the snow and ran out of fuel.

SOMERS — A 65-year-old man from Racine was struck and killed Saturday night while attempting to walk across the interestate from his disabled vehicle. According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, Emanuel Wilson Jr. died at the scene of the accident, on I-41/I-94 at Highway KR in Kenosha County near Somers, at approximately 10.30 p.m. The department indicated that he exited a disabled vehicle parked on the right shoulder of I-41/94 southbound and began walking across traffic lanes near the vehicle.

HOPKINTON, R.I. (WJAR) — Rhode Island State Police said a motorist was killed near their disabled vehicle on Interstate 95 south in Hopkinton on Saturday morning. Police said the person was struck by a tractor-trailer truck in the travel portion of the highway, just south of exit 3, at about 1:40 a.m. Hope Valley Fire and Rescue pronounced the motorist dead at the scene. Police said there will be no charges at this time.

Sussex County, VA – March 21, 2022, Dennis Abington was killed in a collision with two tractor-trailers on Interstate 95 in Sussex County. Authorities say the incident happened around 4:05 a.m. on southbound I-95 near mile marker 29. Preliminary investigation suggests Abington was driving a Nissan Sentra south on the roadway when he collided for unknown reasons with a Kenworth tractor-trailer. After the impact the Kenworth pulled onto the shoulder but the Nissan remained in the travel lanes, and soon after it was struck by a southbound Peterbilt 18-wheeler.

A man riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was critically injured in a crash Friday morning on U.S. 301 in Sumter County. The 49-year-old Sumterville man had been riding the 2015 Harley-Davidson at 6:40 a.m. southbound on U.S. 301 approaching East Belt Avenue north of Bushnell when a 50-year-old Bushnell woman driving a 2017 Chevrolet Colorado traveling in the opposite direction made a left turn into his path, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
