Three people hurt in Elkhart crash
ELKHART, Ind. (WNDU) - Three people are hurt after a chain reaction crash in Elkhart. It happened Thursday morning around 5:15 a.m. in the 700 block of Middlebury Street. A man was driving on Middlebury Street at Tipton Street when he was hit from behind by a 28-year-old woman. The woman stopped in the road and got out of her vehicle. Her and a local resident were in the roadway when a Chevy hit her car, which pushed into them.

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) - Crews responded to a bad crash on the bypass near Elm Road Wednesday afternoon. 51-year-old William Howard was driving westbound on the bypass when he hit a car that was on the shoulder with its flashers on. Williams then hit the center barrier and flipped over. Howard had to be extricated and was taken to the hospital. He is currently in serious, but stable condition with a head injury.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A 63-year-old man from Palm City was killed Tuesday in a crash on the Florida Turnpike that blocked all lanes and had traffic backed up for hours, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said. The crash, involving a landscaping truck, happened in the southbound lanes just before Exit 99 at 1:34 p.m. The truck was disabled on the side of the road due to a flat tire, according to FHP.

CHARLOTTE — A 24-year-old woman died at a hospital after she was hit by two vehicles early Monday morning in the University City area, CMPD said in a news release. Alexis Wilkins stepped out onto East Mallard Creek Church Road near North Tryon Street at about 2:30 a.m. when a 2001 Mercedes E320 struck her. The driver of the Mercedes stopped and called 911 when another vehicle, believed to be a red 2015-1017 Hyundai Sonata, hit Wilkins and did not stop.

Eight people, including four children, were killed in a 22-vehicle pileup during a sandstorm on Interstate 15 near the town of Kanosh, Utah on Sunday, officials said Monday. At least 10 people were taken to hospitals, including three in critical condition, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. The “series of crashes” happened just before 5 p.m. Multiple ground and air ambulances were dispatched to transport crash victims for medical treatment.

A man was killed in Decatur when he was struck by a pickup truck while changing a tire early Sunday morning. Two men stopped in the southbound lane of US-31 near Hunter Lane after one of the tires on the sedan they were driving went flat. While they were changing the tire, a pickup truck hit the sedan, killing 49-year-old Carlos Ballentine of Pulaski, Tenn., according to the Decatur Police Department.

A 52-year-old Queens man was struck and killed by a Tesla driver as he tried to fix a flat tire on his vehicle on the shoulder of the Long Island Expressway early Monday, police say. Jean Louis was stuck on the left shoulder of the westbound side of the highway before the College Point Boulevard exit when he was hit shortly after midnight. Responding officers found Louis, of Cambria Heights, lying on the ground with severe trauma to his body.

PASADENA, Texas (KTRK) – A driver was killed in a fiery crash on Highway 225 at Beltway 8 early Thursday morning in Pasadena. Fire officials say a car was stalled in a center lane on the westbound side of the freeway when a driver in a Jeep coming over the hill rear-ended it. Authorities say the stopped car had its hazard lights on. The crash caused both cars to catch fire.

(WTNH)– A Pennsylvania man is dead after being struck by a car on Route 15 Sunday morning.State police report early Sunday morning, 38-year-old Mac Paul Tillery, of Philadelphia, PA, was stopped in the left lane of Route 15 northbound, north of Exit 58, when a Nissan Rogue driven by Juan Ponce, 25, of Milford, CT, struck the rear-end of Tillery’s vehicle and hit him. State Troopers report Tillery died on the scene as a result of being struck.
