Stoughton, WI – Janesville Man Killed in SUV-Semi Crash on I-39/90 Near US-51
Stoughton, WI (July 15, 2025) – A 37-year-old man from Janesville was killed early Monday morning in a collision involving an SUV and a semi-truck on Interstate 39/90 near Stoughton. The crash was reported just before 5:50 a.m. on July 14, in the northbound lanes near the US-51 interchange, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol. Investigators say the SUV crashed into the rear of a semi tractor-trailer that was parked on the right shoulder of the interstate.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A crash on the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge caused injuries to a person early Monday morning. The crash was reported at around 1:35 a.m., on the upper level of the Brooklyn-bound side of the span, according to a spokesperson for the MTA. According to the MTA, a motorist got out of his disabled vehicle to start pushing it when another vehicle rear-ended the disabled vehicle, pushing the individual against the center median.

Claremont, CA (July 7, 2025) – A man identified as Faridun Abduvakhobov was struck and killed early Monday morning after exiting a disabled vehicle on the 210 Freeway in Claremont and being hit by a big rig, officials confirmed. Accident Details: The fatal crash occurred shortly after 3:00 a.m. on Monday, July 7, on the eastbound side of the 210 Freeway near Baseline Road. Authorities say Abduvakhobov had exited a disabled vehicle when he was hit by an oncoming semi-truck.

Waverly, LA — July 10, 2025, Charles Moore was killed in a truck accident at about 5 a.m. on westbound Interstate 20 near State Highway 557. Authorities said a 2024 International semi-truck crashed into the back end of a 2017 Freightliner semi-truck that was parked in the median, then hit a tree on the right side of the road. The International driver, 26-year-old Charles Moore of Meridian, MS, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to authorities.

A multi-vehicle collision killed one person on Highway 3 in Silverdale Wednesday afternoon, Washington State Patrol confirmed. WSP Public Information Officer Katherine Weatherwax said that a truck was merging onto Highway 3 from Newberry and struck a 21-year-old Belfair woman, who was the driver of a disabled vehicle on the side of the highway’s on ramp. She was standing outside talking to a passenger. A second car was also pulled over.

A preliminary accident report indicates that a 2020 Kenworth semi-truck was heading north toward Laurel Avenue when it crashed into a 2024 Ford F-150 that was disabled in the road. Ford driver Ethan Clickhammer, 21, was seriously injured in the crash, according to the report. The truck driver, who was not injured, was cited for speeding after the crash, the report states.

LOGAN TWP., New Jersey (WPVI) – A woman has died following a crash on I-295 in Gloucester County, New Jersey. Police were called out the the crash just before noon Monday at milepost 13.4 in Logan Township. According to police, a Dodge minivan was traveling southbound on I-295 when it entered the right shoulder and struck a tractor-trailer that was parked. The driver of the Dodge, identified as 64-year-old Ibtissam Sankar of Trenton, sustained fatal injuries.

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) – A driver was killed Sunday morning when they pulled onto the shoulder and were hit by a passing vehicle on Interstate 40 in Asheville. The Asheville Police Department said 35-year-old Carlos Alfredo Amaya-Segovia pulled onto the right shoulder near mile marker 51 on I-40 when his 2008 Ford F-250 truck experienced a mechanical failure while towing a trailer. According to the police department, around 7:36 a.m., a 2021 Ford F-450 truck also towing a trailer and traveling eastbound attempted to change lanes and hit Amaya-Segovia’s disabled vehicle.

NEWPORT, Ky. — A person has died and two others have been hospitalized after a crash on the Daniel Carter Beard Bridge early Sunday morning, according to Newport police. Officials say it happened around 3:40 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-471. Authorities say a vehicle was broken down in the far right lane, and a person stopped behind it to offer assistance. While pushing the disabled vehicle, police say a car struck the back of the vehicle, pushing the pedestrian into the vehicle they were assisting.

Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Melville yesterday afternoon. Nadil Ceka was looking at a disabled vehicle while standing on the shoulder of southbound Bagatelle Road, south of Dix Woods Drive, when he was struck by a vehicle that left the scene at approximately 1:10 p.m. The vehicle, possibly a gray Hyundai, fled southbound on Bagatelle Road. Ceka, 58, of Brooklyn, was transported via ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of serious but not life-threatening injuries.
