1 child, 2 adults injured after fatal 7 vehicle pile-up on Buford Hwy
CHAMBLEE, Ga. (CBS46) – A fatal seven-vehicle pile up caused major delays for commuters on Buford Highway Saturday afternoon. Chamblee Police Department were dispatched around 3:15 p.m. after reports of an accident at the intersection of Chamblee Tucker Road and Buford Highway. Police told CBS46 News that one person is in custody and will be facing multiple felony and traffic-related charges. Georgia State Patrol was called to the scene to investigate.

SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah, July 31, 2020 (Gephardt Daily) — A female driver was transported to Intermountain Medical Center in critical condition Friday night after her vehicle was struck twice on Interstate 15. The crash occurred at about 9:45 p.m. at 12200 South (milepost 291) on I-15 southbound when the vehicle the woman was driving suddenly stopped in traffic, Utah Highway Patrol Lt. GAHANNA, OH, (July 31, 2020) - 37-year-old Alex Gilbertson sadly lost his life on Friday morning in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident in Gahanna.According to Gahanna police, Mr. Gilbertson may have been outside of his broken down vehicle, along Interstate 270, when he was struck shortly before 2 a.m. by a vehicle which then fled the scene.

OAKLAND — A 51-year-old motorcyclist was killed late Wednesday night in a collision with a car on Highway 24, the California Highway Patrol said. The Alameda County Coroner’s Office identified the man Thursday as Christopher Jones of Davis. The collision happened about 11:17 p.m. Wednesday in the eastbound lanes of Highway 24 just west of Highway 13 near the Caldecott Tunnel. The CHP said Jones was riding a Yamaha motorcycle. He had pulled onto the right-hand shoulder for unknown reasons and was re-entering traffic when he was hit by a Honda Accord, ejecting him from the motorcycle into a traffic lane.

BRIDGEPORT — A Weston man suffered life-threatening injuries after he apparently ran into traffic on Interstate 95 south Tuesday night and was hit by a vehicle, according to police. The crash was first reported around 6:15 p.m. Troop G, at the Connecticut State Police barracks in Bridgeport, got several 911 calls about a pedestrian who had been hit by a vehicle on I-95 south near Exit 29.The state police report, released Wednesday, said that the 30-year-old Weston man was driving on the highway’s southbound lanes through Bridgeport when he stopped his car on the right shoulder for an unknown reason and got out.

LAKE FOREST, IL — A motorcycle rider died after crashing into a tractor trailer on Interstate 94 Wednesday, police said. Shortly after 1 p.m. , the driver of a 2007 Honda motorcycle veered onto the right shoulder of the ramp to the Lake Forest Oasis, striking the rear end of a 2019 Freightliner semi-trailer parked on the shoulder at the time, according to Illinois State Police. A 78-year-old Milford, Utah man was critically injured in the crash and pronounced dead at the scene, state police said.

Virginia State Police announced the pickup truck driver who was seriously injured in Wednesday morning’s tractor-trailer crash in Botetourt County later died in the hospital. According to police, the crash — which involved two tractor-trailers and a pickup truck — took place at 5:18 a.m. Wednesday along I-81 South in Botetourt County. Authorities say the pickup truck struck a tractor-trailer that was illegally parked on the right side of the road, but after the pickup truck came to rest in the roadway, another tractor-trailer heading south on I-81 hit the pickup truck.

STRATFORD, CT (WFSB) - A portion of I-95 northbound in Stratford was closed Monday morning after a person was hit by a car on the southbound side of the highway. Police said a man was hit by a car on I-95 southbound, near exit 29 in Bridgeport. The man stopped his vehicle in the right shoulder and got out of the car for an unknown reason, police said. He then ran from the right shoulder across the lanes of traffic, and was struck in the left lane.

According to DPS, their troopers were called to a crash on FM 2020 at 2:28 a.m. Sunday. When the troopers arrived at the scene they found that two pedestrians had been hit by a car.

A good Samaritan pulled the injured man out of a northbound lane. The injured man, a 44-year-old Grand Rapids resident, was listed in critical condition at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital, police said.
