State police say 26-year-old Raleigh resident Jonathan C. Gilbert was taken to a hospital with serious injuries after a two-vehicle crash on Route 1 in White County last night. Police say Gilbert stopped at a construction stop light, activated his hazard lights, and exited his truck due to vehicle issues. As he was walking around the vehicle, 45-year-old Carmi resident Bill W. Van struck its rear.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A motorcyclist was killed after crashing into a disabled vehicle on Interstate 435 at State Line Road Thursday night. Leawood police said shortly after 9 p.m., a car heading westbound on I-435 struck the barrier wall and was disabled in the roadway. A few minutes later, a motorcyclist hit the disabled car.Caleb Addington, the 21-year-old motorcyclist, was transported to the hospital in critical condition but later died at the hospital.

A Fairfax County woman was fatally injured on Interstate 95 in a head-on crash in the Springfield area, the Virginia State Police said. Stephanie D. Garcia, 29, of Reston, Va., died Sunday at a hospital after the crash Saturday at the Old Keene Mill Road exit, police said. She was driving south in the express lanes about 7 a.m. when her car ran off the left side of the road, turned around on the shoulder and then reentered the express lanes facing the wrong way, state police said, citing witness accounts.

LONDONDERRY, N.H. (WHDH) - A driver escaped serious injury after their pickup truck was left mangled following a crash on Interstate 93 northbound in Londonderry, New Hampshire on Monday afternoon. Troopers responding to a reported crash in the area of mile marker 13.6 just before 3:30 p.m. learned that a 2018 Ram 1500 had struck a disabled 2003 Chevy box van in the breakdown lane, according to state police. The pickup truck sustained severe damage and its driver was transported to Elliot Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Harris County officials responded to the crash scene at around 1:20 a.m. along La Porte Freeway near Independence Freeway. In their reports, investigators said that a tractor-trailer hauling rebar was parked on the shoulder of the access road. The truck driver was waiting to drop off a load of rebar, and the driver reportedly fell asleep in the cab with the truck’s lights and hazards on.

Police have identified a semi-driver struck and killed by an out-of-control SUV Saturday on I-275 near Winton Road in Forest Park. ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – A man was killed after a truck hit his stopped car on a north St. Louis interstate late Thursday night. A 2019 Chevrolet Silverado crashed into the back of a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze that was stopped in the slow lane of westbound interstate 70 near Branch Street around 11:30 p.m. The Cruze was stopped due to possible car trouble, according to police. The driver of the truck ran from the scene but was quickly taken into custody by detectives with the Anti-Crime Unit.
