2 pedestrians killed in unrelated I-15 crashes after exiting a disabled vehicle this week
MOUNTAIN PASS, Calif. (VVNG.com) –For the second time this week, a Las Vegas resident has been struck and killed after exiting from a disabled vehicle on the I-15 freeway. The latest incident happened on Friday, April 17, 2020, at about 8:22 pm, when a 911 call was received reporting a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on the southbound 15 just north of Nipton Road near Mountain Pass. Emergency crews responded to find Lateishia Atkinson, a 32-year-old resident of Las Vegas with multiple injuries.

MADISON COUNTY, Ind. (WTHR) – An Anderson woman was seriously injured Friday night in a two vehicle crash on Interstate 69. State Police say Ryanne Brashear, 27, of Anderson, was driving south on I-69 near Pendleton when she apparently lost control and hit the guardrail on the left side of the highway just after 11:35 p.m. Her Honda Civic spun and stopped in the center lane of I-69. A semi trailer driven by Devontae Lapsley, 26, of Indianapolis, was also south bound in the center lane with cars in each of the lanes beside his truck, according to police.

One woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following a collision Thursday evening in the 3800-block of Highway 99. Emergency crews responded to the highway, south of King George Boulevard, just before 6 p.m. April 16. According to a witness at the scene, a large pickup truck appeared to have rear-ended a sedan that was possibly broken down at the side of the road. Both vehicles collided with the centre median cable barrier preventing them from going into oncoming traffic.

NORTH HAVEN — No one was hurt when a tractor trailer burst into flames after being hit by a tractor trailer on the highway Saturday night. It happened on Interstate 91 north at Exit 10 shortly after 8 p.m. Fire officials said a “disabled motor vehicle was struck by a tractor trailer and burst into flames.” The occupants were out of the vehicle by the time the collision happened. As crews worked to extinguish the flames and get the scene cleared, the left two lanes of I-91 north between Exit 10 and Exit 11 were closed.

A Monroe woman was struck by one car and hit by a second as two men helped her from the first wreck scene Friday. The two men were also injured. According to the Monroe Police Department, around 9 p.m. Friday, a police officer was called out to a pedestrian and vehicle wreck in the 3500 block of DeSiard Street. Around 7:42 p.m. on Wednesday, CHP’s Fresno dispatch center received a call that a man had been hit on Highway 99 and was lying in the northbound lanes, just south of Merritt Drive in Traver. Officers and paramedics rushed to the scene and found the 18-year-old man.

The multiple crashes happened about 1:30 a.m. Friday on Houston’s North Freeway.
