3 killed in crash involving SUV, tractor-trailer on I-75 in Marietta
Three people were killed in Marietta on Tuesday morning after the SUV they were in was hit by a tractor-trailer on I-75, police said. The crash happened about 5:40 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the interstate near the entrance ramp from North Marietta Parkway, the police department said in a statement. A 2009 Nissan Rogue was stopped in the middle of the road, according to Marietta police spokesman Officer Joshua Madison.

An early Monday morning crash left a driver in critical condition, Gwinnett County police said. About 3 a.m., a Mercedes was involved in a crash with a tractor-trailer, causing the Mercedes’ driver to be ejected along I-85 North, police said in a news release. The incident shut down the interstate near Jimmy Carter Boulevard for about two hours.Investigators believe the Mercedes was driven into the tractor-trailer, which was parked on the interstate’s shoulder due to a flat tire, the release said.

Gwinnett County police are investigating an early morning vehicle accident on Interstate 85 northbound that closed the roadway down for two hours Monday morning. Police said the accident happened after the driver of a Mercedes passenger car struck a trailer that was parked on the shoulder of the interstate. The trailer had a flat tire and had been left on the side of the roadway. After the Mercedes struck the trailer, it was hit by a semi-truck before it finally came to a stop, police said.

Police say the female driver had stopped in a moving lane of the highway after being involved in a minor incident with another vehicle. KATY, Texas — A woman is in critical condition after her vehicle was hit possibly twice early Monday along the Katy Freeway, according the Houston Police Department. It happened shortly after 2 a.m. on the stretch of highway between Barker-Cypress Road and Park Ten Boulevard. Investigators believe the driver was side swiped by another vehicle, and for some reason, decided to stop in a moving lane of traffic.

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) – Nevada Highway Patrol investigated a fatal crash in the southwest valley on Monday night. According to NHP’s website, the crash happened about 8:30 p.m. on August 24 on the 215 Beltway westbound at Buffalo Drive. The crash involved three vehicles, according to NHP Trooper Travis Smaka. A contractor was driving to a customer’s home when he ran out of gas and pulled over. Smaka said the customer drove in a Mercedes to bring gas to the contractor and was also pulled off to the shoulder.

A woman was pulled from a burning car and another person was injured in a two-vehicle incident on Interstate 30 early Sunday morning, Garland police say. Officers arrived just before 2 a.m. to eastbound I-30 near the ramp to the President George Bush Turnpike, where the woman was unconscious in the driver seat of the burning black Toyota Camry. A witness told police the driver was in the second from the left lane when she lost control and hit the left side concrete barrier and a light pole then veered back onto the roadway.

Kruckerberg was seriously injured on Thursday, August 20th when he was struck by a tractor-trailer after exiting his disabled pickup truck on Interstate 55 in Edwardsville.Kruckeberg, 58, was outside of the vehicle at about 1:34 p.m. when a 2018 International truck tractor semi-trailer driven by 53-year-old Guy M. Lang, who also sideswiped the victim’s vehicle, which was pulling a trailer. Kruckerberg was airlifted to a local hospital for serious injuries.

A box truck driven by a 61 year-old Illinois man was stopped in the area between the westbound lanes and the exit for Zeeland. It was hit by a semi truck driven by a 66 year-old Byron Center man when the truck drifted over the line.

Whitten, 19, was a passenger in the SUV, which was eastbound on U.S. 30 in when it went off the right side of the roadway and struck a guardrail.
