Pedestrian on I-24 killed after being struck by multiple vehicles
LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A woman is dead after having been struck by a number of vehicles on I-24 West at the Davidson/Rutherford County line, Metro police say. The preliminary investigation shows that the 22-year-old Memphis woman was driving her Nissan Versa east on I-24 prior to the incident, missing the driver’s side tire and traveling on the rim for some time. Her car then hit the guardrail on the right shoulder of I-24 East.

A 29-year-old Texas man was killed Wednesday night when he left his vehicle after a collision near Fairfield, the California Highway Patrol said. The Texas man, whose name hasn’t been released, was driving a 2019 Chrysler when he collided with a 2020 Kia Forte around 9:10 p.m. on the two-lane connector ramp from westbound Highway 12 to westbound Interstate Highway 80, CHP Officer Miguel Camarena said. The man fled his disabled Chrysler and ran toward the right shoulder of the ramp where he was struck by a blue Mazda CX-9 at 9:22 p.

PLAINFIELD – A car overturned after side-swiping a parked truck in Moosup this morning, police said. At approximately 4:52 a.m., Plainfield police and members of the Moosup Fire Department and American Legion Ambulance responded to a vehicle collision in the area of 443 N. Main St. Police said 44-year-old Joseph Devolve of Sterling was traveling west in a 2004 Volvo XC70 when he struck an unoccupied truck parked on the shoulder of the westbound lane.

MONROE, La. (KNOE) - A crash in Ouachita Parish has claimed the life of a man. According to Louisiana State Police, it happened May 5, 2020, shortly before 12:30 a.m. on Interstate 20 just east of Monroe. State police say a vehicle driven by 65-year-old Johnny Ray Green, of Oak Grove, was eastbound on I-20 when, for reasons still under investigation, it stopped in the outside lane of travel. Police say Green got out of the vehicle, after which he and the vehicle were hit by an 18-wheeler.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY — A man who had exited his vehicle on Halls Ferry Road was fatally struck by an SUV on Sunday night. The Missouri State Highway Patrol identified the victim as Phil E. Thomas, 66, of the St. Louis area. Thomas stopped his vehicle on southbound Halls Ferry Road about 10:25 p.m. Sunday and had gotten out of the vehicle when he was hit by a southbound Jeep Commander.

ISHERS, Ind. — Traffic is slowly moving once again on northbound I-69 in Fishers near 116th Street after a semi trailer hit a pedestrian. It occurred around 6 a.m. Police tell us the victim was alert and conscious when they arrived, and medics transported him to the hospital. Investigators believe the pedestrian, an 18-year-old man, was standing next to a pickup truck to exchange information due to a previous, minor crash.

KENT COUNTY, MI – A woman who standing outside of her vehicle after a crash was then hit by another vehicle and seriously injured. The victim, a 21-year-old Grand Rapids woman, was hospitalized Sunday, May 3, with serious injuries, Walker police said. She was struck around 9:20 p.m. at Wilson Avenue NW and West Grand Boulevard. She had just gotten into a crash and got out of her vehicle before she was hit by another vehicle, driven by a 69-year-old Grandville man.

HARRISONVILLE, Mo. — The Missouri State Highway Patrol has identified the man who was killed in a multi-vehicle crash Saturday night on Interstate-49. The crash was reported just after 6:30 p.m. on southbound I-49, just northwest of Harrisonville. The driver of a 1994 Ford F-150 and the driver of a 1998 Toyota Rav 4 were stopped on the shoulder of the highway when the driver of a semi veered onto the shoulder and struck both vehicles, according to the highway patrol.

A man has died after police say his disabled vehicle was struck multiple times Saturday night. San Antonio Police were called out to an accident near the intersection of I-10 at UTSA Boulevard at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night. When they arrived at the scene, there was a man trapped in a green Ford Explorer with no pulse and two other vehicles with significant damage. Police believe that the driver of the Ford Explorer struck the wall on the far right side for some unknown reason and was sent flying across the highway to the left side.

SAN ANTONIO – One man was hit and killed by another driver after his SUV stalled out on the highway, according to San Antonio police. The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. Saturday on I-10, right under UTSA Boulevard. Authorities said an SUV was stopped on I-10 when a driver of a pickup truck heading eastbound crashed into it. The driver of the SUV died on impact, according to police. The crash was ruled as an accident and police said alcohol was not a factor.
