Man killed standing outside broken down vehicle on I-85 in Greenville County, coroner say
A man has been charged with felony DUI with death after hitting and killing a man who was standing outside a broken down pickup truck on I-85 in Greenville, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

A man was injured Monday afternoon while changing a tire in Perry County after he and his vehicle were hit by the trailer of another vehicle. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred when 47-year old Marshall Kilburn of Chaffee was outside of his vehicle replacing a tire on Interstate 55 at the 139 mile marker. The vehicle crossed the fog line, then the trailer attached to the truck struck the vehicle of Kilburn and also made contact with the man himself.

Houston police said around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday that truck carrying a Gooseneck trailer stalled and pulled over to the middle breakdown lane. Police said the truck driver put warning triangles behind the trailer, but that wasn’t enough with cars zooming by at 60 miles per hour. Police say a small red car hit the trailer, ejecting the driver of the red car onto the roadway. The driver of the small car did not survive.

A family is in mourning after a disabled father, who was working as an Uber driver to help provide for his eight children, was killed in a crash on the Garden State Parkway only days before Thanksgiving. Stephen Chiarle, 48, of Cape May Court House, New Jersey, was inside his Ford Edge which was stopped on the Garden State Parkway in Little Egg Harbor Township, Sunday morning. The SUV was then hit by another vehicle passing by.

Another vehicle behind her slowed down as McElroy pulled over, but a semi behind that car was unable to slow and, driving onto the shoulder to avoid a collision with the second car, struck McElroy’s 2011 Ford Ranger.

One person was killed following a series of crashes on Interstate 75 in Madison County. Kentucky State Police said two vehicles were involved in separate crashes near the 86-mile marker a little before 4 a.m. on Friday. One of the drivers exited his vehicle to check on something. He was then hit by a third vehicle and killed. The Madison County coroner has identified the victim as 58-year-old Robert Hepler, of Johnson City, Tenn.

A mother and son died in a hit-and-run crash on SR-82 near Gregory Avenue in Lee County on Friday morning. According to Florida Highway Patrol, 46-year-old Katherine Cujas and 26-year-old Ronald Cujas were outside their cars on the side of SR-82 between 6 and 7 a.m. when they were struck by what troopers believe is a red Dodge 3500 pickup truck. Officials are asking for the public’s help in finding the person responsible for hitting them.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal two-car accident that happened on Monday morning in Berkeley. The accident occurred on 80 Freeway east of Gilman Street at around 5:15 a.m., November 18. A disabled black Nissan sedan with its hazard lights was in the fast lane of eastbound 80 Freeway when it was hit by a silver Volkswagen sedan.

A driver was fatally hit on a Massachusetts highway after he got out of his truck to help another motorist, according to police. The tragic accident happened overnight on I-495 in Raynham, a town located approximately 32 miles south of Boston.

Gavin Matthew Walence, 35, was killed after his disabled vehicle was hit. The accident happened at the 14600 block of I-35 around 3:15 a.m. Live Oak Police said Walence had struck a concrete barrier and was stopped in the right-hand lane when a second vehicle stopped to assist him. Walence’s car was then hit by a third vehicle. The crash ejected Walence from the vehicle and he was then struck and killed by oncoming traffic, investigators said.
