St. Cloud man was hurt after a five vehicle crash in Wright County
UNDATED – A St. Cloud man was hurt after a five vehicle crash in Wright County Tuesday morning. The incident happened just before 11:30 a.m. on Eastbound I-94 in Silver Creek Township. The Minnesota State Patrol says all five vehicles were heading east on I-94 in the right lane, when a semi attempted to slow down and struck a barrel, which hit a Cadillac Escalade. NORTH HAVEN — No one was hurt when a tractor trailer burst into flames after being hit by a tractor trailer on the highway Saturday night. It happened on Interstate 91 north at Exit 10 shortly after 8 p.m. Fire officials said a “disabled motor vehicle was struck by a tractor trailer and burst into flames.” The occupants were out of the vehicle by the time the collision happened. As crews worked to extinguish the flames and get the scene cleared, the left two lanes of I-91 north between Exit 10 and Exit 11 were closed.

A Monroe woman was struck by one car and hit by a second as two men helped her from the first wreck scene Friday. The two men were also injured. According to the Monroe Police Department, around 9 p.m. Friday, a police officer was called out to a pedestrian and vehicle wreck in the 3500 block of DeSiard Street. Upon arrival he was informed a traffic investigator was already working a pedestrian and vehicle crash in the same location.

A Visalia teenager was struck by a semi-truck after the man pulled over to fix a flat tire on the side of Highway 99, according to California Highway Patrol officers. Around 7:42 p.m. on Wednesday, CHP’s Fresno dispatch center received a call that a man had been hit on Highway 99 and was lying in the northbound lanes, just south of Merritt Drive in Traver. Officers and paramedics rushed to the scene and found the 18-year-old man.

The multiple crashes happened about 1:30 a.m. Friday on Houston’s North Freeway. MONROE, LA, (April 10, 2020) - A woman was seriously injured on Friday, April 10th in Monroe when she was struck by a car and then hit by a second one as two Good Samaritans tried to help her. The unidentified woman was first struck at about 9:00 p.m. in the 3500 block of DeSiard Street by a 2008 Ford Fusion driven by 18-year-old Dango Dean. The force of the collision sent the woman into the westbound lanes.

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ7)– UPDATE: Frederick Carter, 60 of Thaxton, first hit the victim after he was unable to see the man who was partially in the road and wearing dark clothes. Objects that were hanging from the driver’s rearview mirror obstructed his view as well in this case. When the driver stopped to help the man, another vehicle hit the victim. His injuries were not critical, according to the statement from Roanoke County.

NEWBERRY, SC, (April 03, 2020) - Emmanuil Khmelnitskiy tragcally died on Friday, April 3rd after being struck by a tractor-trailer in a hit-and-run in Newberry County. Khmelnitskiy, 17, was hit at about 7:40 a.m. on Interstate 26 by Kendrick Coakley, who was operating the rig with a suspended license. Khmelnitskiy’s was legally parked in the emergency lane at the time of the collision. Coakley fled the scene but was later apprehended by authorities.
