21-year-old man killed in tractor-trailer crash on Interstate 81 in Franklin County
ANTRIM TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A 21-year-old man is dead after a crash involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 81 in Franklin County early Sunday morning, according to Pennsylvania State Police. Emergency crews responded to the deadly collision in the northbound lanes in Antrim Township at 3:30 a.m. The crash scene was between Exit 5, Route 16/Greencastle/Waynesboro, and Exit 10, Route 914/Marion. Police said Dru Feeley, 21, of Hagerstown, Md., was driving a sedan when he crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer that merged in front of him because of another vehicle stopped on the shoulder.

FRESH MEADOWS, Queens (WABC) – A person working on a disabled vehicle was struck and killed by a truck on the Long Island Expressway early Wednesday. It happened on the westbound side of the LIE in the Fresh Meadows section of Queens just before 5:30 a.m. The flatbed truck struck the person who was later declared dead at the scene by authorities. The truck driver stayed at the scene. During the investigation and cleanup, the fatal crash closed the westbound side of the LIE.

Buckatunna, MS — December 12, 2024, one person was killed and another was injured in a truck accident at about 7:30 a.m. on U.S. 45. Authorities said a northbound 2012 Dodge Ram crashed into a garbage truck that had been parked on the north side of the highway near Pineville Road. A 3-year-old child who was a passenger in the Dodge died from injuries suffered in the crash, according to authorities, while the driver was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries.

MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — A busy freeway was shut down for about six hours due to a deadly pedestrian crash in the East Valley amid rush hour traffic on Monday morning. According to Department of Public Safety troopers, at least one vehicle initially struck a person, who was later identified as 63-year-old Bryan Horner of Mesa, on the Loop 202 Red Mountain, east of Dobson Road, around 6:15 a.m. Other vehicles then ran over Horner.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A chain of six crashes involving over 40 vehicles shut down the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway Bridge in both directions for around seven hours on Tuesday (Dec. 17). The Fox 8 Weather Authority Team was tracking sea fog over the lake. A Marine Dense Fog advisory was in effect until 9 a.m. The National Weather Service in New Orleans says visibility was reduced to less than one mile over parts of the lake, including the bridge.

The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office said on Monday that at 1:52 p.m., they were called out to the intersection of Garfield Road and Adelaide Drive in Maqcomb Township for a crash. The incident happened between 22 and 23 Mile Roads, where witnesses told police that a blue Jeep Compass was driving west on Adelaide at high speeds when it went through a stop sign and crashed into a semi-truck.

Arlington Police said a man was killed and another woman was severely injured after an SUV crashed into them early Saturday morning. According to Arlington Police, around 1:00 a.m. on Saturday in the 300 block of N. Watson Rd. near Division St., officers responded to reports of an SUV striking multiple pedestrians. They found a 31-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman injured on the ground. Police said the man, Tyler White, was taken to the hospital but died.

Lehigh County, PA (December 15, 2024) – According to emergency dispatch, a Lancaster County man was killed in a crash in Lehigh County on December 15. The deadly collision happened in the eastbound lanes of Route 309 at Exit 60 in Upper Saucon Township at 4:45 a.m. Two tractor-trailers and a minivan were involved in the wreck. State police said three people were trying to push the minivan into the right lane when a tractor-trailer struck and killed one of those individuals.

LEROY TWP. — A 62-year-old Fowlerville woman was killed Saturday morning when she was struck by a vehicle on Elm Road, the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office said. The woman, who was not identified, died while being transported to an area hospital for treatment, the sheriff’s office said in a Saturday night press release. “Northern Ingham Emergency Services Authorities and one of our deputies initiated CPR and other life saving measures at the scene,” the sheriff’s office said.
