One Dead, Two Injured in Grant County Highway Crash
GRANT COUNTY, IND. (WOWO) A Marion man was killed Tuesday morning in a crash on Interstate 69 in Grant County. Deputies responded around 6:33 a.m. to a crash in the northbound lanes near mile marker 272 after multiple 911 calls reported a vehicle had flipped and several people were ejected. Investigators determined two vehicles were involved: a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado and a 1996 Chevrolet pickup truck. Authorities say 45-year-old Joseph Kidwell of Marion died at the scene despite life-saving efforts from first responders.

A tow truck technician in Western Kentucky was hit and killed by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 165 Wednesday morning, and the driver has been charged with leaving the scene. The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office said the collision occurred around 6:50 a.m. Central on Interstate 165 near the Ohio County line. The sheriff’s office said the technician was out of his truck assisting a disabled tractor-trailer on the shoulder of the road when a passing tractor-trailer hit him.

A New Jersey man was killed and two other people were injured Monday in a fiery three-truck crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in Middlesex County, according to State Police. Troopers responded around 9:57 a.m. to a report of a crash at milepost 92.6 on the northbound outer roadway of the turnpike in Woodbridge. Authorities said Maximo Polanco, 34, of Ridgefield, was driving a Kenworth dump truck northbound approaching the Grover Cleveland Service Area when the vehicle struck the rear of an International tractor-trailer parked on the right shoulder before the service area.

Intense surveillance video shows an Amazon delivery worker getting hit by a car and the driver speeding away in west Miami-Dade last week. The incident happened on Southwest 20th Street near 140th Place where a neighbor who was walking his dog said he saw the driver get hit and thrown multiple feet into the air. The video shows the driver attempting to cross the street to deliver the package to a home when she was struck by the vehicle.

RISING SUN, Md. (WBAL/CNN NEWSOURCE/WKRC) - Two girls narrowly avoided being struck by a pickup truck that sped around a stopped school bus Friday in Rising Sun, Maryland, authorities said. The incident occurred as a school bus stopped to pick up the girls, ages 7 and 11. Deputies said the bus had its flashing lights activated. Surveillance video obtained from a nearby business shows a Toyota pickup pulling to the right and passing between the bus door and the children before briefly leaving the roadway.

Authorities in Burleson County are investigating a fatal weekend accident near Caldwell, involving a vehicle that drove into the back of an 18-wheeler. DPS Sergeant Justin Ruiz reports that the two-vehicle accident occurred after 5 a.m. Saturday in the 5600 block of Highway 36, roughly five miles south of Caldwell. According to Sgt. Ruiz, a 2002 Kenworth truck tractor semi-trailer was stopped on the right-hand shoulder of the road, facing south.

A 27-year-old man named Zach Alfi was seriously injured while trying to help a driver who had spun out on Route 24 in Freetown, Massachusetts. Alfi, who had just married his wife Molly in September, pulled over to check on the other driver but was then struck by a third vehicle as he was walking back to his own car. Alfi suffered multiple broken bones and is facing a long recovery, but his wife says they are grateful he is alive.

A tractor trailer operator from Canada was killed early Friday morning in a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 86 in the Town of Nichols. The crash took place shortly before 2 a.m. March 6 in the westbound lane of I-86 between exits 63 and 62, according to New York State Police at Owego. A preliminary investigation at the scene determined a 2020 Mitsubishi SUV operated by Kaden T. Watson, 21, of Warren Center, Pennsylvania, was traveling west on the highway when his vehicle went off the roadway and struck a guard rail.
