CASTELLA, Calif. — A good Samaritan is hospitalized with major injuries after being struck by a hit-and-run driver while rendering aid to others involved in a rollover crash on Interstate 5, near Castella, on Friday morning. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) office in Mount Shasta says the crash occurred just after 5:30 a.m. on Friday morning on southbound I-5, south of Sweetbrier Avenue, in Shasta County. (WSVN) - A tragic multi-vehicle collision on the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 has claimed a life, leaving authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. The accident occurred Thursday, at 10:21 p.m., just after the Oakland Park Boulevard, 31B exit, and left investigators and cleanup crews on the scene for hours. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the collision began when a black 2007 Toyota Corolla traveled southbound on I-95.

One person is dead and another injured after a vehicle crashed into them while they were trying to fill a car with gas on the side of the road in Fort Worth. Police were called to 3000 North Freeway near NE 28th Street Thursday morning responding to a major accident. Earlier in the morning, a motorist ran out of gas and was waiting for a friend to bring him gas while he waited on the median shoulder.

PHOENIX — A rolled semi-truck caused delays for drivers headed west on Interstate 10 Thursday morning. Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say the crash occurred on the freeway near 67th Avenue around 5:30 a.m. A disabled vehicle was reportedly blocking traffic on the freeway and shortly after, a semi-truck rolled over on its side. It’s unclear whether the truck, which was hauling produce, rolled after hitting the disabled vehicle or because of another reason.

BALTIMORE - The driver of a disabled vehicle was seriously injured after being struck by another car Tuesday night on I-95 in Baltimore. Police said a driver got out of the disabled car around 8:30 p.m. past Exit 51 (Washington Boulevard) when they were struck by another driver, who remained at the scene. The injured driver was taken to a hospital in serious condition. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call the MDTA Police at 410-916-7532.

Officials with the Arkansas State Police said 15 vehicles, including four commercial and 11 passenger cars were involved in the crash. Troopers on the ground said they believed there were multiple casualties at the scene, including two fatalities.

The victim, a 32-year-old driving a white Chevrolet Cobalt, changed lanes and struck the rear end of the box truck and died in the crash. The two people in the U-Haul were uninjured, according to Michigan State Police. Three children and one other adult inside the Cobalt suffered minor injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals.

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD)- A teenager has died after being struck by a passing vehicle on I-526 Friday night. The Charleston County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as a 14-year-old from North Charleston. Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal said the victim was standing outside of the vehicle on Exit 16A toward W. Montague Avenue when he was struck and killed around 8:15 p.m. An investigation found that the victim’s vehicle was disabled and struck by a moving vehicle.

CHICAGO (CBS) – A UPS driver is seriously hurt after a crash in north suburban Morton Grove Friday afternoon. According to police just after 3 p.m., the 55-year-old driver was standing behind his parked truck in the 6400 block of Beckwith when a car crashed into him and his truck. The driver, who is from Mount Prospect, was transported to Lutheran General Hospital with serious injuries. Morton Grove Police and the Major Crash Assistance Team are investigating.

READING, Mass. — A pickup truck driver was killed in a crash involving a box truck on Interstate 93 in Reading early Thursday, officials said. Troopers responding to a report of a crash on the northbound side of the highway in the area of Commerce Way ramp just after 1 a.m. found a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado that had been rear-ended by a 2022 International MV607 box truck, according to Massachusetts State Police.
