Motorcyclist dies after crashing into stopped vehicle on I-70 in Dickinson County
DICKINSON COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) - A Georgia motorcyclist died after hitting a vehicle that stopped on I-70 near Abilene Friday afternoon. The Kansas Highway Patrol says a 2008 Chevrolet Equinox was stopped in the left lane of eastbound I-70 near mile marker 281 due to a separate accident, when a Harley Davidson motorcycle struck the rear of the Equinox. The operator of the motorcycle, 67-year-old William Anyan of Athens, Georgia, died of their injuries.

PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentral) — An 18-year-old girl died last night after a multi-vehicle crash in Pharr, police say. At 9:30 p.m. Pharr police responded to a multi-vehicle crash on southbound US Highway 281, near 4800 N Cage Blvd. One woman, 18, died as a result of the collision. Her identity is being withheld until next of kin is notified. A preliminary investigation revealed the 18 year old collided with a stalled vehicle on the right shoulder of the highway.

A North Jersey woman was hospitalized after a serious crash last weekend, Pennsylvania State Police said. The crash occurred around 11:40 a.m. last Sunday on I-95 northbound in Bristol Township. A 21-year-old woman from Wayne, New Jersey, was driving a 2007 Toyota Corolla when she swerved onto the shoulder of the highway. The car struck a vehicle on the shoulder, hit a concrete wall, and spun across all four lanes of the highway before coming to rest against the center barrier, according to state police.

WARREN COUNTY, NJ — New Jersey State Police said two people are dead, including a 12-year-old girl, after a passenger vehicle crashed into a parked semi truck late Wednesday night along I-78 in Warren County. The crash, which happened near mile marker 6.2 in Greenwich Township, also injured a six-year-old boy and a nine-month-old girl in the back seat, as well as a 37-year-old woman who was in the front seat.

The accident happened on I-80 east milepost 66.6 in Hackensack around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday. According to investigators, a Toyota SUV set off a chain reaction after striking the curbed median, entering the express lanes, and hitting a tractor-trailer. As a result, the tractor-trailer struck the center concrete median and entered the I-80 westbound express lanes, striking a box truck.

CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - Several drivers were charged after three crashes involving six cars happened in dense fog this morning. The multi-car pile-up occurred on Highway 55 at Sand Hill Road in Craven County around 7 a.m. The Highway Patrol says 50-year-old Timothy Guin, of Greenville, was pulling a boat with his pickup truck and was trying to make a left turn onto Highway 55 from Sand Hill Road when his truck was hit by a vehicle westbound on the main highway.

According to the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), the crash happened before Red Top Mountain Road around 6:15 p.m. According to authorities, a Kia van lost control while traveling northbound. The van reportedly left the road, crossed the grass median, and entered the southbound lanes, colliding with a Chevy Tahoe and a Toyota 4Runner.

SALT LAKE CITY — A family is grieving after their sister was hit and killed while fixing a flat tire on Thursday. The Utah Highway Patrol said 42-year-old Tiffany Smith was heading east near Bangerter Highway when she stopped on the left side of State Route 201, partially blocking traffic in the left lane. As she was out of the car, another vehicle struck her. “As soon as I found out what had happened, I hugged my kids so tight,” said her sister, Lacy Arnold.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — A pedestrian on I-59 was killed in a Jefferson County crash Saturday morning, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports. Martin Rodriguez-Ramirez, a 29-year-old from Cullman, was fatally injured when a tractor-trailer struck him on I-59. The crash occurred around 5:15 a.m. about one mile east of Hueytown. Rodriguez-Ramirez was pronounced dead at the scene. After hitting Rodriguez-Ramirez, the tractor-trailer hit the GMC Acadia that Rodriguez-Ramirez was driving but had crashed into a guardrail.

Subsequently, two drivers who witnessed the vehicle pulled over to the right shoulder to help. However, a BMW traveling in the third lane at an unknown speed struck the stalled vehicle and one of the vehicles that pulled over.
