Drivers Hospitalized After Box Truck Hits Passenger Vehicle Disabled By Tire On Rt. 78: NJSP
An International box truck collided with a Ford passenger vehicle that had become disabled after hitting a tire on Route 78, sending both drivers to the hospital on Wednesday, Nov. 15, state police said. The crash occurred around 1:40 a.m. on the westbound side near milepost 17.6 in Clinton Township, NJSP Det. I Jeffrey Lebron told Daily Voice. A Ford passenger vehicle struck a tire in the roadway and became disabled in the right lane.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WCYB) — A man working on his disabled pickup truck was struck and killed by another vehicle on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Johnson City Police Department. Officers responded to Interstate 26 west near mile marker 17. Officers said Darrell Clark and other family members were working on his Ford F-150 on the shoulder of the road. Police said a Mazda 3 struck Clark and the pickup.

A body found in a wooded area of Mobile County on Monday is believed to be a driver who crashed their vehicle days ago, police said. Citronelle Police Chief Chris McLean told Fox 10 a driver was speeding down Russell Road toward Highway 45 when they veered off the roadway at more than 100 m.p.h. and crashed into the woods. McLean told the station police do not believe there were any witnesses to the crash and believe the wreck occurred days ago.

It happened on the 4800 block of Whitaker Avenue around 6 p.m., the department said. Ezequiel Morales was walking back to his car when he was hit by a white van that fled the scene. Morales was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center and pronounced dead just before 6:30 p.m., police said. NBC10 Philadelphia reported that the van was later found abandoned nearby. The crash remains under investigation, said PPD.

Irving, TX — September 17, 2023, Jair Ramirez Rodriguez was killed following an alleged hit-and-run accident at around 2:30 a.m. along Loop 12. Authorities said that the crash happened along the southbound lanes of Walton Walker in the area of Shady Grove Road. According to officials, 29-year-old Jair Ramirez Rodriguez had been in a vehicle going along Loop 12 when it apparently ran out of gas. Other occupants reportedly left the area to go get fuel while Ramirez Rodriguez stayed behind with the vehicle.

At approximately 6:25 am, on Monday, November 13, 2023, a single vehicle (Mitsubishi Lancer) crashed into the right-side concrete barrier near the gore area of the southbound exit to 500 East, American Fork. The driver of that vehicle got out of the car and walked into the southbound lanes of I-15 where he was struck and killed. Based on evidence and witness statements, it appears he was hit by two or maybe three vehicles in the number three lane.

TRACY - A man who stopped to help a driver in a rollover crash in Tracy early Saturday morning was hit and killed by a vehicle, the CHP said. The CHP said the incident was reported around 3:45 a.m. when a Toyota rolled over on eastbound Interstate 205, west of Grant Line Road. Officers said the man’s Toyota truck came to a stop on its side, blocking the second lane.

ISLE OF WIGHT, Va. — A crash involving two tractor trailers in Isle of Wight County shut down a section of US-460 Thursday night, just a mile west of Windsor, the Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s Office confirmed. Virginia State Police said the driver of one tractor trailer, Leslie Turner, was driving an empty trailer when the vehicle disabled. Turner was in his cab looking for emergency triangles when a second tractor trailer hauling water bottles, driven by George Brown, struck it from behind.

TROY, Mont. — The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office reports a missing woman last seen Friday was found dead near Troy. An aerial search on Wednesday located a vehicle crash off Highway 56 near Troy. Officials determined Beverly Parker Perez was eastbound on Savage Lake Fishing Access Road, where she drove into the water and the vehicle became fully submerged. Perez was located in the vehicle five days after the she was reported missing.

IBERIA PARISH - A multi-vehicle crash on Highway 90 Tuesday night killed a woman from Breaux Bridge, state police say. The crash happened on Highway 90 westbound at around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. State police said Cotura Roy, 52, was stopped on the highway, caught in congestion from a crash earlier in the evening. A Chevrolet Silverado behind her failed to stop and crashed into Roy’s vehicle, pushing it forward into the car in front of her.
