A 20-year-old man died Tuesday morning in Lewisville after he got in a car wreck, and while he was trying to push his car off the road, another vehicle hit him. About 6 a.m., a car made a wide turn into traffic from South Valley Parkway onto the Hwy 121 Business access road, according to a Lewisville Police Department spokesman. That car caused a second vehicle to swerve to avoid hitting it, and it spun around and rolled backwards into the grassy median on South Valley Parkway.

An Ohio man who was assisting a disabled motorist along Interstate 90 in Girard Township late Monday afternoon was killed when his stopped vehicle was struck by a passing tractor-trailer, according to the Pennsylvania State Police. State police in Girard identified the victim Tuesday morning as 69-year-old Jose M. Alicea Gonzalez, of Conneaut, Ohio. He died instantly in the crash, which was reported Monday at 5:38 p.m. along the westbound lanes of I-90 east of the Route 18 Girard/Platea exit, the investigating trooper reported.

An 88-year-old man who got out of his stopped car on Route 13 near Seaford Sunday night died after being hit by another car, Delaware State Police said. Troopers were called to the south side of the road, just south of Ockles Road, about 9:15 p.m. for reports of the crash. There, they found the man in a grass median. He’d been thrown there after being hit, police said. He died at the scene.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KVII) — A Clovis man was hit by a semi on I-27 near Lubbock after an earlier crash disabled his car. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Jermaine Nord was running from the center median, across I-27, when he was hit around 3 a.m. Nord was pronounced dead at the scene. DPS said Nord had been involved in a crash. His car came to a rest in the center median.

CEDAR CITY — It was a cold night on the mountain when an observant passerby noticed a vehicle had left the road. Due to the vehicle’s condition and temperatures dipping into the lower teens near the Midway Valley on state Route 14, the good Samaritan called 911. Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Joshua Johnson said the citizen made the call for emergency services Tuesday at 9:27 p.m. Responders arrived at a location near mile marker 27 in Kane County to find an elderly male in need of medical attention.

As of 1 p.m. on Tuesday, the ramp from Interstate 77 North to I-271 North was closed for a crash, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation. That crash happened near Wheatley Road, and involves 13 vehicles, including three commercial vehicles, according to patrol spokesperson Sgt. Bridget Matt. Injuries were reported, but none were reported to be life-threatening.
