A Lawton woman was hospitalized following a single-vehicle collision south of Ninnekah according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP). The woman was driving eastbound on the outside lane of the H.E. Bailey Turnpike just before 5:30 a.m. on Sunday. She swerved into the inside lane to avoid hitting a pedestrian on the shoulder of the road. She then struck an unoccupied vehicle that was disabled in the middle of the inside lane, according to OHP.

Woman survives days trapped in pickup after plummeting down steep hillside on Mount Baldy

A woman survived being stranded in her pickup for several days in the Angeles National Forest after she crashed more than 200 feet down a hill during inclement weather and cold conditions. Firefighters are calling the woman’s survival a miracle since she was trapped in her Ford Ranger for nearly five days with no cellphone reception to call for help. Thankfully, a hiker spotted her car over a cliff in Mount Baldy and was able to flag down firefighters who were on a separate rescue call.

Nebraska State Patrol identifies woman killed in fiery crash on Hwy 77

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska State Patrol has identified the woman who died Friday night following a fiery crash on Highway 77. Severine Bouckongou, 44, died after being hit by a vehicle as she ran from the crash. Several agencies responded to the scene around 7 p.m. near Hwy 77 and Pioneers Boulevard. The state patrol said Bouckongou’s car, a Chevrolet Cruze, had broken down on southbound Hwy 77.

2 found dead in snowbound vehicle in Interior Alaska mountain pass

Alaska State Troopers said two people were found dead in their vehicle on the Steese Highway in Interior Alaska late Wednesday after howling winds created snowdrifts that made travel all but impossible. Troopers in an update Friday afternoon said they recovered the bodies of the two adults from the vehicle at Eagle Summit on the highway with the help of state transportation crews. A tow truck removed the vehicle, they said.

The Highway Patrol said the first crash happened around 3:30 a.m. when a truck left the road, vaulted off an approach and landed in the ditch. The drivers of a car and a pickup stopped to help. PAYSON, Utah — An early morning highway crash in Utah County claimed the lives of two people, while a 15-year-old teenager was critically injured. The crash happened around 1:20 a.m. about one mile South of Payson in the northbound lanes of Interstate 15. Utah Highway Patrol told FOX 13 News the crash involved a semi-truck as well as a Honda Civic. Initially, a semi-truck drifted off the road to the left and overcorrected back to the right, which caused the driver to lose control and roll the semi-truck on its side.

A driver was seriously injured after her car stalled on GA 365 when it ran out of gas Wednesday night. Another car rear-ended the disabled vehicle, setting off a chain-reaction wreck that spread across the northbound travel lanes. The crash occurred around 6:45 p.m. on Jan. 3 at the Demorest-Mt. MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A driver was charged in connection with a fatal crash after he hit and killed a Morris County man on the shoulder of I-280 on Sunday afternoon, police said. Luis Nicheporuck, 56, of Randolph, had parked his Chevrolet on the right shoulder of the highway, west of milepost 4.4, in Roseland Borough, Essex County. Around 4 p.m., a Ford pickup truck going westbound, driven by Valerian Kapanadze, a 48-year-old from Hackettstown, crashed into Nicheporuck and his parked car, according to New Jersey State Police Detective Jeffrey Lebron.

PEDESTRIAN STRUCK BY VEHICLE ON CLARKRANGE HIGHWAY

The Tennessee Highway Patrol and medics recently responded to the 1200 block of Clarkrange Highway in Putnam County after a vehicle hit a pedestrian. The accident report states a 2004 Jeep Wrangler was disabled on the road. Troopers say 43-year-old Steven L. Elkins was standing in front of the Jeep when an oncoming 2019 Audi operated by 44-year-old Brenda A. Gadd failed to stop and rear-ended the vehicle. The impact caused the Jeep to strike Elkins.
