6 injured in snowy, multi-vehicle crash that closed U.P. highway
DAFTER TOWNSHIP, MI – At least six people were injured after a multi-vehicle pileup on a highway in the Upper Peninsula during a snowstorm Wednesday afternoon. Multiple crashes involving several vehicles were reported around 1 p.m. near the intersection of M-28 and South Soo Line Road in Dafter Township, according to Chippewa County Central Dispatch. GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — The body of a man recovered three days after his car crashed near the intersection of Rose Hill Road and Choppe Creek in Georgetown County has been identified. Michael Edward Davis, 61, was reported missing by family members after the crash, which happened at about 7 a.m. Sunday, the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office said. His body was found Wednesday in the creek near the crash site.

Laplace – On March 25, 2023 around 9:30 p.m., Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop B began investigating a three-vehicle fatal crash on I-10 West, approximately 7 miles west of LA 3188 in Laplace. The crash claimed the lives of 18-year-old Seamus Cassidy of Arnaudville and 32-year-old Oger Ivan Mejia-Puentes of Honduras. The initial investigation revealed that 27-year-old Brandon Cedotal of Gonzales was driving west on I-10 in a 2005 Ford F-550 tow truck.

SAN DIEGO — A 28-year-old man was badly injured early Friday when he got out of his disabled car to seek assistance on state Route 163 and was struck by a passing car, the California Highway Patrol said. The driver was headed north on the freeway when he crashed his Nissan Sentra into the center median wall south of Genesee shortly before 1 a.m., Officer Jesse Matias said. The disabled Sentra ended up in traffic lanes.

PHOENIX — An off-duty Phoenix Police Department sergeant has been hospitalized after he was hit on Interstate 17 early Friday morning, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said. The sergeant, whose identity has yet to be released, was struck after he got out of his car to help another car that was broken down on I-17 near Dunlap Road, troopers said. He was then hit, which caused a secondary crash with three cars involved.

A motorist traveling on Interstate 295 in Gloucester County was killed Tuesday morning when another vehicle struck his car after it became disabled in a crash. Giovanni Adames, 30, of Rahway, was traveling northbound in Greenwich Township near milepost 16.6 when he was involved in an accident with an unknown vehicle, according to New Jersey State Police Sgt. Philip Curry. The collision left Adames’ vehicle disabled in the left center lane of the interstate, Curry said.
