Man struck by tractor trailer, killed on I-75 in multi-wreck incident
CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — A man was hit by a tractor trailer and killed during a series of cascading accidents on I-75 in Clayton County early Monday morning. It happened just after 1 a.m. near the Mt. Zion Blvd. exit. According to Clayton County Police, a first driver lost control of his vehicle and hit the inside barrier wall, leaving his car partially stopped in the far left lane. A second driver then hit that car, and his car was left stopped in two of the further right lanes.

STEUBEN CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – Indiana State Police says its troopers from Fort Wayne and Steuben County responded to a 911 call reporting a pedestrian had been struck on Indiana Toll Road on Saturday afternoon. ISP says that an investigation of the scene showed that Micheal Shaw, 45, of Portland, Oregon had been driving a pickup truck pulling a utility trailer and had pulled over heading eastbound, near mile marker 142, due to a developing mechanical issue.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Two pedestrians on Milwaukee streets suffered serious injuries in two separate crashes over the span of a few hours overnight Thursday, according to police. The first crash happened around 9:40 p.m. when a woman was pushing a disabled car out of the road near 76th Street and Villard Avenue, according to police. Another car that was speeding north on 76th crashed into the car and pinned the 32-year-old woman, police said.

ORANGE, FL, (July 05, 2023) - Two people were seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident on July 5 in Orange County. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the crash occurred at about 7 a.m. on Ocoee Apopka Road near Demastus Lane when a Honda CR-V driven by 24-year-old Eugenio Cuevas lost control and traveled across the roadway and onto the southbound shoulder. The Honda then hit two people standing outside a Ford F-150 pickup truck.

YORK COUNTY, S.C. — An 84-year-old man was hit and killed while changing a tire on his car in York County, investigators said. It happened around 4:15 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 161 near Paraham Road. According to the coroner’s office, 84-year-old Leonard Davis, of Catawba, was changing a tire on his car in the center lane of the highway. Highway patrol said a 2018 Toyota driving east on Highway 161 hit Davis, who died at the scene.

Friday morning, multiple Shelby County emergency personnel responded to an injury accident on westbound Interstate 64, just before the Waddy/Peytona exit. At approximately 11:04 a.m., a driver veered into the right shoulder of the highway and directly hit the bed of an abandoned truck. Three passersby stopped to provide assistance to the injured driver until emergency personnel arrived. Nine emergency vehicles from five different agencies responded to the crash scene, including Shelbyville Fire Department, Waddy Volunteer Fire Department, Shelby County EMS, Shelby County Sheriff’s Department and the Kentucky State Police.

LAKEWOOD — A 54-year-old motorist was killed Sunday in a seven-vehicle crash on the 605 Freeway in Lakewood. The person who died was identified as Kelly Drake, of Westminster, according to the Medical Examiner’s office. The crash was reported at 8:14 p.m. on the southbound San Gabriel River Freeway at Carson Street, California Highway Patrol Officer Stephen Brandt told City News Service. A news videographer at the scene said the crash was triggered by an earlier two-vehicle crash at the Carson Street off-ramp after several vehicles were unable to stop to avoid the wreckage.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – An investigation is underway after a woman was hit and killed while changing her tire on the Katy Freeway Sunday morning, according to police. The victim’s family identified her as 57-year-old Aminah Gardner. They told Eyewitness News she was a rideshare driver for Uber and Lyft. She had just dropped off a rider before her tire went flat. Police in Fort Myers, Florida, are trying to piece together the cause of a single-car accident that took the lives of five teenagers Sunday. Fort Myers Police identified the victims as Eric Paul, 19; Jackson Eyre, 18; Amanda Ferguson, 18; Breanna Coleman, 18; and Jesus Salinas, 18. Police did not release the cities where the teens lived, according to the News-Press. The teens were killed Sunday when the car they were riding in went off the road and into a retention pond.

NORRISTOWN, Pennsylvania (WPVI) – A crash involving seven vehicles left one person dead in Norristown, Montgomery County. It happened as the rain was coming down on the 400 block of West Main Street just after 10:30 p.m. Monday. The Action Cam on the scene showed multiple vehicles with heavy front-end damage. Multiple people were also taken to nearby hospitals with injuries. It is not known how the weather may have played a role in the wreck.
