Semitrailer carrying liquid sugar overturns in Indiana causing multi-vehicle crash
JASPER COUNTY, Ind. - Interstate 65 was partially shut down Monday morning after a semitrailer carrying liquid sugar overturned in Jasper County, causing a secondary crash between multiple vehicles. About 6:43 a.m., Indiana State Police reported the semitrailer overturned in the southbound lanes between State Road 10 and State Road 14, according to a tweet from Sgt. Glen Fifield. Fifield said the accident sparked a second crash between three vehicles in the same vicinity as the semitrailer.

WAHPETON, N.D. (KFGO) – Two people were killed and two others were hurt during a collision that involved three pickups and a car on highway 13 just west of I-29 in Richland County early Monday morning. The state patrol says the driver of a car got stuck in snow along the shoulder of the highway. The driver of a pickup stopped and was starting to attach a tow rope to the car when another pickup approached.

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB/Gray News) - A Nebraska couple who went missing in mid-January were found dead near a vehicle stuck on a maintenance road, according to the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office was contacted at about 3:15 p.m. Saturday by a citizen who found a vehicle stuck on a minimum maintenance road almost 11 miles northeast of Kearney, Nebraska. A man was found dead in a crashed vehicle Sunday in Shades Creek off Interstate 65 in Homewood. Homewood police responded to I-65 southbound just south of Lakeshore Parkway near an apartment complex just after 1:30 p.m. A passerby made the discovery and called 911. Officers found a wrecked vehicle with one man inside. Sgt. John Carr said it appears the vehicle left I-65 and ended up in the creek. It wasn’t immediately clear when the crash happened, but investigators believe it took place hours before the vehicle and the victim were discovered.

MOCLOVA TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WTVG) - A man is seriously injured after a crash on the Ohio Turnpike Sunday. Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the crash in Lucas County around 6:30 a.m. The car was heading eastbound on Interstate Route 80 when it exited the left side of the road and hit a guardrail, stopping the vehicle, troopers said. The 20-year-old passenger from Cleveland Heights then exited the vehicle, leaving it stopped in the roadway, officials said.

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – A man is dead after a crash Friday morning on I-664 near the Bowers Hill Interchange in Chesapeake, according to Virginia State Police. On March 10, around 11:34 a.m. the driver of the tractor-trailer, Zion Redding of Indiana was parked on the right closed shoulder and was asleep. The driver of the other tractor-trailer, Ricky M. Batten, 59, of Norfolk was traveling eastbound on I-64 towards I-664 northbound when he ran off the road and hit the parked tractor-trailer from behind.

DENVER (KDVR) — Police are looking for a driver who was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run that injured one person while they were pushing a van on the shoulder of Interstate 25. According to the Denver Police Department, the hit-and-run occurred on Feb. 12 at 10:55 p.m. on southbound I-25 at 20th Avenue. DPD said two people were pushing a van on the right shoulder of the highway when they were struck by an unknown driver in a silver Porsche.

A multi-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Washington woman and left the highway shut down for hours, Tuesday afternoon on Interstate Highway 45 in Navarro County. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, four semi trucks with trailers were involved in a major accident around 2:20 p.m. March 7, about a mile south of FM 739 in Angus. Trooper M. Ochoa, of DPS Corsicana stated that the preliminary investigation indicated Leslie, Freeman Agyepong, female, 46, from Lacey, WA was driving a Freightliner truck tractor towing a semi-trailer traveling south on Interstate 45 and crashed into three other truck tractors towing semi-trailers, which were stopped due to an unrelated crash.

GARY, Ind. — A six-year-old girl is dead and two other children are seriously injured after a mail truck reportedly rear-ended a stopped car on Interstate 80 in northern Indiana early Wednesday. According to Indiana State Police, the accident occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. when a Volvo semi truck pulling a trailer loaded with U.S. mail rear-ended a Nissan Altima near mile-marker 7.5 on I-80. State police said the Altima had been stopped in the right lane.
