1 Injured in Rollover Crash on I-20 in Lancaster
Lancaster, Texas (May 22, 2023) – One person was injured Sunday morning in a rollover crash in Lancaster, according to the police. The crash happened just after 7:00 a.m., May 21, on Interstate 20. Police said a vehicle was disabled in the eastbound lanes of the interstate when it was rear-ended by an 18-wheeler. After the crash, the 18-wheeler went off the interstate and rolled over on its side on the service road.

SUNNYVALE, Calif. (KGO) – Three people were killed and at least five others were injured on northbound 101 in Sunnyvale after a series of crashes overnight, the California Highway Patrol said. San Jose CHP said there was first a single-vehicle crash involving a pickup truck that lost control around 12:30 a.m. Monday just south of Fair Oaks Avenue. This then caused a chain reaction of additional crashes. “Involved in the collision on the northbound side, we have at least six vehicles,” San Jose CHP officer Ross Lee said.

FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A Florida man has been identified as the person who died Friday, two days after his disabled car was hit in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 in Florence County. Brian Broadwell, 59, died in the crash, according to Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken. The crash happened at about 4:20 a.m. Wednesday near Alligator Road when a 2023 Chevrolet SUV, which was traveling south, crashed into a 2010 Ford sedan that was disabled in the roadway, the South Carolina Highway Patrol said.

CHESTER, Wis. (WMTV) - One person has died and several others were injured after a car collided with a parked semi in Dodge County, the sheriff’s office reports. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office stated that deputies were called around 8:30 a.m. Saturday to the report of the crash on US Highway 151 northbound at County Highway M in the Town of Chester. Investigators determined that a disabled semi with double trailers was pulled over on the northbound shoulder of the road when a car drifted onto the shoulder and hit the semi.

DAVIE, Fla. – The attorney for a woman injured in a crash that killed her baby along Interstate 75 says she had pulled over to tend to the infant before the fatal rear-end collision. Kristine Rivera’s baby Jace died after the white Ford truck crashed into their GMC. Rivera had pulled over to the shoulder near Griffin Road in Davie, with her hazards on, in order to to tend to the choking baby.

UPDATE (5/19): The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency released additional information about the crash that killed Francisco Morales. ALEA said the car he was driving left the road, struck and guardrail and overturned multiple times into a steep ditch. Morales was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car. CONECUH COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — An investigation into the death of a Dade City, Fla. man is underway after he was found in a creek Thursday, according to a release from the Conecuh County Coroner’s Office.

Wichita County, Texas (May 19, 2023) – The two people who died following a multi-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Wichita County have been identified as Francisco Sanchez Sustaita, 45, and Rocio Rodriguez Hernandez, 43, both of Chillicothe. The deadly crash happened at around 2:10 a.m. on Sunday, May 14, on U.S. Highway 287, about 0.5 miles west of Wichita Falls. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Sustaita, was disabled in the northbound lanes after being involved in a separate crash.

On May 17th, at around 1:09am, multiple emergency agencies were dispatched to the northbound lanes of Highway 287 near County Road 2898 north of Alvord for a two-vehicle crash. Upon arrival, law enforcement observed two vehicles involved with major damage. A preliminary investigation determined one vehicle had become disabled and was partially sitting in one of the northbound lanes. A second vehicle, also traveling northbound, struck the disabled vehicle. The driver of the disabled vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A three-vehicle crash left one Mexico woman injured Monday afternoon in Callaway County. Kassie N. Phelps, of Holts Summit, was driving east on U.S. 54 south of Route TT when she hit the median cables, according to a Missouri Highway Patrol crash report. Rachel D. Goldthrite, of New Bloomfield, then hit Phelps’ 2015 Dodge Dart with her 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer. According to the report, Crystal L. Wood, of Mexico, then hit Goldthrite’s vehicle with her 2006 Ford Explorer, causing Goldthrite to hit Phelp’s vehicle again.

First responders from the Simpson and Covington County areas who knew Philip Allan said when he died, he was doing what he lived for: Helping people. Allan, a volunteer firefighter for multiple departments in that area was killed after being hit by a car on Highway 49 in Covington County while attempting to help victims of a car crash. Covington County Fire Coordinator John Pope said Allan was struck crossing the road as he attempted to help the people involved in the accident.
