Loose cow causes multi-car crash in NC, cops say. Man trying to warn drivers is hit
A cow roamed onto a North Carolina highway, causing a multi-car crash that left several people hurt, officials said. A 32-year-old man also was taken to a hospital after a car hit him as he tried to alert drivers about the loose livestock on Wednesday, Sept. 21, according to the N.C. State Highway Patrol. State troopers were called just before 9:30 p.m. to a crash on U.S. Highway 29. The scene was in Randolph County, roughly 75 miles west of Raleigh.

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – One person was injured and a mess was left behind Friday morning after a crash involving multiple vehicles on Interstate 95, including a Presidente Supermarket truck. The crash occurred just after 6 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-95, just north of Interstate 595 in Broward County. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of a white Honda rear-ended the box truck, causing the axle of the truck to detach.

ORIGINAL STORY: A woman was killed Thursday afternoon when she rear-ended a tractor-trailer that was stopped on a busy northeast Missouri highway. The deadly wreck happened shortly after noon in the eastbound lanes of Highway 36, three-and-a-half miles east of Macon. The driver of the big rig, a man from El Paso, Texas, told KTVO that he was having mechanical problems and was trying to get the tractor-trailer moved off the highway.

VACAVILLE, Calif. (KOVR) - A tractor-trailer spill had a California highway looking like the start of a pizza party. Hundreds of crushed tomatoes spilled on Interstate 80 in Vacaville, California, and caused several collisions on Monday. Officials said the truck driver lost control and hit another car before slamming into the center median. Tomatoes covered the highway after the crash, which caused a serious road hazard. Authorities said a car got stuck in the spill, leading to a chain reaction of crashes involving four vehicles.

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. — All lanes of I-75 southbound have reopened in Hernando County after they were closed following a crash that involved five semis, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Only minor injuries have been reported, according to FHP. According to FHP, around 6 a.m. two semis were traveling on the interstate when one crashed into the back of the other while changing lanes. The first semi came to a final rest on the outside shoulder and the second came to a rest in the outside lane.

BALTIMORE – A 46-year-old man died Monday night after he crashed his van into a vehicle involved in another collision on Route 100 in Glen Burnie, Anne Arundel County police said. About 11 p.m., a driver in a 2009 Lexus SUV was heading eastbound in the westbound lanes when they hit a 2011 Honda Civic head-on, police said. The crash occurred on Route 100 between Oakwood and Quarterfield roads. The driver of a 1994 Chevrolet van traveling westbound rounded a corner and hit the Lexus.

A man has died after he was hit by a car while change a tyre on the side of one of Melbourne’s busiest highways. He had pulled over into the emergency lane of the Western Ring Road near Deer Park, and was working on his tyre when he was hit at around 1am on Wednesday morning. He was taken to hospital but later died from his injuries. The driver of the car that hit him, a 35-year-old man, was not injured in the incident and stopped to help.

DILLON COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) - A fiery crash had all lanes shut down Tuesday morning on the southbound side of I-95 in Dillon County. According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 6 a.m. half a mile north of Exit 181B-South Carolina 38 Westbound to Bennettsville on I-95. Master Trooper Brian Lee said a Chevrolet truck was disabled in the southbound lanes when a tractor collided with it.

A man was killed when the tanker truck he was driving overturned and caused a fuel spill Monday evening that closed a lane of Peach Orchard Road through Tuesday morning. Kenneth Allen Key, 55, of Keysville, was pronounced dead at the scene, Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen said early Tuesday. Key was driving an 18-wheeler south on Peach Orchard shortly after 9 p.m. Monday when the truck hit an abandoned vehicle on the southbound shoulder of the road, about a mile south of Mims Road, according to Richmond County sheriff’s Sgt.

One person is dead and two others injured after a multivehicle crash on Interstate 270 in Maryland early Sunday morning, police say. In a news release, Maryland State Police said troopers responded to reports of two crashes on the northbound side of I-270 near the Montrose Road exit in Rockville around 3:35 a.m. on Sunday. In their preliminary investigation, police said the drivers of a Tesla Model S and a Toyota Sienna were traveling north on I-270 when the Tesla rear ended the Toyota.
