A Van Wert woman struck and killed in a three car crash in Allen County Monday night
A Van Wert woman is dead after a crash at the intersection of Cool Road and Lincoln Highway Monday night. Lima troopers say 75-year-old Linda Tuckerman was killed after the report of multiple crashes. The highway patrol says she was backing onto the wrong side of Lincoln Highway when her car was hit by an SUV driven by 37-year-old Brian Pogan of Pandora. Tuckerman was outside her disabled car which was on the wrong side of the road facing sideways, when she was hit by another SUV driven by 26-year-old David Regan of Lima.

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWWL) - One person is dead after a car crash on Interstate 80 in Scott County. Diane Madesian, of Bettendorf, was killed after being struck by two vehicles on Interstate 80 East in Davenport. According to the Iowa State Patrol, Madesian’s car was stopped in the roadway and believed to be outside of her vehicle when she was hit by a Ford Explorer and a tractor.

MIRA MESA — A 41-year-old man was struck by a big rig and killed Sunday after getting out of his stopped car on a freeway shoulder in Mira Mesa, authorities said. It happened about 3:35 p.m. Sunday on the right shoulder of north Interstate 15 approaching Mira Mesa Boulevard, California Highway Patrol Officer Salvador Castro said in a Monday news release. As the driver exited his Mercedes-Benz sedan, a Volvo semi pulling a trailer in the far-right lane was unable to avoid the man and struck him, Castro said.

Victim falls to parking lot below after BMW driver hits cars stopped for previous collision SAN JOSE — A man died after being thrown from a freeway overpass when two cars that were stopped for a crash on Interstate 280 were hit by another driver early Sunday, according to the California Highway Patrol. PINAL COUNTY, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) – A driver whose car broke down in San Tan valley was killed as officials say he ran into traffic and was hit by multiple vehicles. The driver has been identified as 62-year-old Ulrick Fisher. Pinal County Sheriff Office officials say it happened Saturday night around 9:30 p.m. Fisher’s car broke down just north of the Arizona Speedway. Authorities say another motorist, going in the other direction, saw the stranded driver on the other side of the road and pulled over to offer assistance.

SAN LEANDRO, Calif. - The California Highway Patrol is looking for a driver who struck and killed an East Bay man on Interstate 880 and kept going. The Alameda County Medical Examiner and Coroner identified the driver who was killed as 52-year-old Rick Doan of San Leandro. The collision happened around 2:30 am on Friday on southbound I-880, near the Winton Avenue exit in Hayward. Officers said Doan had put his SUV in park in the middle of the freeway, opened his car door, and exited the vehicle.

In their investigations, officials said that a 26-year-old man was traveling northbound along the freeway when it reportedly failed to control speed and hit a semi-truck.

North Carolina Highway Patrol Troopers responded to a call for service just before 9 p.m. July 25 near the Tyvola Road exit. The initial report was a sideswipe property damage only collision between two vehicles going south. Both drivers pulled off on the right shoulder. One driver got out of her vehicle and walked to the other to talk about the accident.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – Three people were killed overnight in separate crashes across the Houston area, including a hit-and-run on the Northwest Freeway. The first one happened Wednesday evening in Montgomery County when a red Subaru slammed into the back of a stalled 18-wheeler, killing the driver and critically injuring a 5-year-old. The 18-wheeler was disabled on Fish Creek just south of FM-2854 just before 9 p.m. due to a broken air brake hose, according to Texas DPS troopers.
